Good for mackerel pier fishing. When I 'm lucky I can get a couple fish on it at the same time. On a couple occasions I got 3. These are pretty common at piers. I 've bought them several times. I recently used these in the tampa bay. The results were very good when nothing else was working, including live. They advertised as durable and that part is simply not true. These baits are very tender and do not last for more than a strike or two. Ill buy them again but rather expensive for being no tougher than they are.

I like Gulp because they are always in my box and I do n't waste an hour getting live bait. When fish are biting they are actually better than live shrimp because they stay on the hook longer and are not bitten off. You can also cast them further without them flying off like live shrimp often do. But honistly they are not quite as good as live shrimp when the bite is off, when the fishing is slow. But all in all I love these things and use them more often than live shrimp because they work most of the time and sometimes even better than live bait.

I 've been using this bait for over 3 years now while in Florida for the winter's. Typically the weather keeps us inshore and in the bay on the gulf coast. This bait continues to out preform my expectations not only for the amount of fish I catch but also the wide variety of fish. I have caught Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Ladyfish and of course Catfish. If I need live bait I can cut this up into little pieces and catch Grunt and Pinfish all day.
