Wow! This bike was way easier to assemble than I expected. I can not wait for my little girl to learn and grow on this bike. Bonus, she LOVES the colors!

5 Chelsea
Great quality and value, plus it was SO easy to assemble. This is the perfect first bike for a toddler to learn how to ride( training wheels included).

5 Courtney
We are so pleased with the quality of this bike, it is the perfect size for my two year old daughter and will grow with her once she outgrows the training wheels. The assembly was incredibly easy, quick and stress- free since it did not require additional tools to put together. Overall, I would recommend this bike!

5 Alexia
I got this bike for a gift and am impressed about how heavy duty it is. My son loves blue so the all black bike with the blue color made his day. Any kid ready to learn to ride, this is the perfect bike for them to grow with.

5 LeeAnn
This bike is a great beginner bike for 3- 5 year olds. It can be used as a balance bike or used with training wheels. The only downside is the `` quick directions '' stop before the handle bars and front tire. Thankfully, it was n't a problem for my husband to finish. Other than that it's a great first bike! Happy boy!

We needed this bike for our beach vacation home- our kids and their families love to bike around the island, over on the peninsula, and down to main street for a treat. This is a great bike- very reliable, easy to ride, great color.

5 Heatherdm
Great purchase, next time I ’ ll get a bike shop to put together correctly. The front tires about fell off when riding. And one bikes tire was popped. Once we had assembled with Dicks, still ended up going to bike shop to have to fix tube and reattach front wheel,

Assembling this was so easy. I pulled it out of the box and was done in less than 5 minutes. Pedals were already on and one small adjustment to get them ready. The training wheels, handle bar, and front wheel were very easy to attach.

It was the perfect color to get my daughter excited about riding a bike. The bike was extremely easy to put together, and the parts are well- made and of nice quality! My daughter actually sat with me and helped put it together, which made the experience even more special. I like that it came with the training wheels and can eventually be removed once she builds up her confidence. The pedals took some time for her to figure out, but once we adjusted her seat to her correct height, she was rocketing down the street!

Nothing beats a bike that is great quality, low price, and easy to assemble! 5 easy steps in less than 10 minutes and my son was able to take it for a spin. The bike is lightweight which makes for easy storage in the car/garage. The adjustable seat is perfect for growing with your child as they progress through all stages of learning how to ride a bike.

5 LCH0825
We got this bike for our son turning 3. We chose the 16 '' based on his height and not the age on the box. The setup and putting together of the bike was super simple and easy. This is his first pedal bike and he is absolutely loving it. While I think the smaller one may have been the perfect size for right now, if he grows half an inch this bike will be perfect. He is still able to pedal and reach everything as needed, he just needs some help on and off. Great bike, especially for beginners.

This bike is perfect for the beginner rider. My son loves it so much he rides it daily even if some days it's in the house. Perfect size for my large 6 year old who refuses to learn to ride with out training wheels and will still be perfect when he is finally ready to go without training wheels. Love the larger tires on it.

We got this bike and the packaging was phenomenal! It was very easy to unbox and all of the pieces and instructions were inside( except batteries). There was assembly required but once we had the directions it was fairly easy to assembly. It moves nicely and is lightweight but sturdy. I will feel very comfortable letting my toddler learn to ride on it. The bike itself is bright and beautiful and our 2 year old can ’ t wait to try it out! Highly recommend!

5 Ball57
Awesome bike that lights up! It was packaged neatly within another box so everything was in its place and nothing was missing when it came to parts. Normally I would have to bring out the tools but everything was included in the box and it was simple to assemble. The instructions were very clear and to the point! The bike itself is great though! The tires feel great compared to other toddler bikes and it doesn ’ t feel flimsy or cheap! I really like that the bike lights up! Just use 3 AA batteries and you ’ ll be good to go!

This was an awesome gift for my nephew. He was ecstatic to see the bike light up as he was riding. I received the bike within a few days of ordering. The package was done very well. No scratches, neatly packed, and all parts were there. Took around 10 to 15 minutes to assemble. The diagrams in the instruction manual were helpful, and it made things easy. Will definitely get this bike for my other nieces and nephews.

5 San Diego Dad
This is an excellent kids bike. The color is bright and my 4 yr old loves it. The lights( which acts as safety lights when dark) was a great feature. The instructions were pretty easy to follow and very clear. The bike came well packaged which practically ensures the bike is not damaged in shipping. The instructions in the book were clear and it took us around 20 mins to put together. The bike came with all tools needed for a quick and easy assembly. The bike was lighter than other similarly priced bike which was a big plus as my sim was able to ride it up on small slopes without an issue. The lights are excellent. They make the bike easy to spot at night and makes it very safe more so given it ’s a for 3- 5 yr olds. My son has now had it for around 3 weeks and loves riding it around the community. Get one and it sure will not disappoint.

5 NJPeddler
This is a great first bike for a young child. It is well built and has fun colors and multiple lighting options that add a lot of flair. The bike was delivered on schedule and the packaging was great with all the parts protected. The user manual and instructions were clear but to be honest assembly was so easy I had it fully put together in about 15 minutes. The included wrench was helpful to not go looking for tools. I did use the manual for understanding how to use the lighting feature( do n't forget to take the stickers of the lights!). The training wheels are great and provide the stability needed for a young rider to feel safe while learning. The training wheels also light up when spinning! My grandchildren are going to love riding this bike and I am going to love watching them enjoy it.

Frequently Asked Questions For Rear Coaster Brake Bikes

A rear coaster brake is a type of braking system commonly found on bicycles, particularly cruisers and children's bikes. It operates by pedaling backward, which engages the brake mechanism located in the rear hub. This system provides a simple and effective way to slow down or stop, making it user-friendly for riders of all ages.

Bikes equipped with rear coaster brakes offer several advantages, including ease of use and reduced maintenance. Since the braking mechanism is integrated into the rear wheel hub, there are fewer external components that can be damaged or require adjustment. Additionally, this type of brake is often more intuitive for new riders, as it allows for a natural pedaling motion to stop.

Rear coaster brakes are commonly found on cruiser bikes, children's bikes, and some hybrid models. These bikes are designed for casual riding and are often used for leisurely activities, making the coaster brake a practical choice for riders who prioritize simplicity and comfort.

Rear coaster brakes and hand brakes serve the same purpose but operate differently. Coaster brakes are engaged by pedaling backward, while hand brakes require the rider to squeeze levers on the handlebars. Coaster brakes can be easier for beginners, while hand brakes offer more precise control and are often preferred for more aggressive riding or varied terrain.

When selecting a bike with a rear coaster brake, consider factors such as the intended use, rider experience, and comfort level. It's important to assess the bike's frame size, weight, and overall design to ensure it meets your needs. Additionally, think about the riding environment, as coaster brakes may be more suitable for flat, paved surfaces rather than steep hills.
