I purchased a pair of the women ’s Merrell Wrapt activity shoe for hiking walks up in the foothills. They were recommended by a friend and I received a discount on my order. I ’ ve enjoyed the shoes for a few months now and can say I am very happy with my purchase. I normally wear a size 8. 5 and ordered a 9 based on some reviews. Ordering half size up worked for me and have no issue around the toe box wearing socks. These have done amazing on dirt and paved trails. My area has seen rain so I ’ ve hiked 5 miles in the mud with no slipping. Same with trail rocks, the shoes have amazing grip. The one thing I noticed is I have to double knot or the laces will continue to untie…and maybe double knotting is a normal thing to do.

I was an 8 on Adirondack Meridian Hiker and have been using it for winter trips and cold weather walks sonI figured I 'm also an 8 for this. 1st feel is it can be a little tight because of the fur lining inside the shoes itself but I realized the trick is the shoe laces bec my heels are already sliding out when I walk with it so meaning I do n't need a half size larger. I will going to use it for going to and from work when I have to walk on pavements from the car on colder days and excited because its goretex.

I just happened across these in a Bozeman MT shop as I was about to throw in the towel on finding a decent pair of hikers. I 'd never heard of Danner before this, but after slipping these babies on I knew it was going to be the start of a beautiful relationship. These took ZERO breaking- in as they were comfy from day one for me. I 've gone on short hikes and just this past summer( I 've owned them for 2 years now), they were my flyfishing wet- wading boots. They worked like a charm on the riverbed and dried out pretty quickly and without any shape change. LOVE these and will likely buy another pair soon just to be sure I have another set for when these finally go out and before Danner stops making them( although they should make these in perpetuity!). My usual size( 8) fit just right.

[ This Keen Targhee Apex is a comfortable shoe! One of the first things I noticed is how quiet the outsole and midsole were when walking around the store on carpet and cement. They 've since been on a dusty hike and a rainy road- to- trail hike. Nice cushioning, stability, and no dust nor water got inside the shoes. Since these shoes are nearly white you can see that some dirt has stayed in the crease on the forefooot even after being hosed off.( Again, no water got inside.) Fit wise, these have a neutral insole, roomier toebox, and wider heel. To keep my foot from sliding forward and to have a better fit for my heel I will add Superfeet insoles. This shoe runs true to size so I went up 1/2 a size to allow for swelling on longer and hot hikes. Nice shoe. I look forward to seeing how it feels after putting more miles on it.

I 'm 78 and have been walking back streets, uneven ground( no curbs- just dirt/gravel/small potholes, etc) since COVID years, and this new Agility Peak gets my best thumbs up ever. They 're balanced, have that roomy toe area, and grasp the ground with a security that feels like a step up from the `` 5 ''. Thanks Merrell crew!

Slow and persistent
I just ordered my 4th pair of these. I love them and have completed several trail events ranging from 1/1 marathon distance to 50k wearing them. I even wore them when I ran the Chicago marathon last October, Honolulu Marathon in December and the Rock and Roll half marathon in Vegas in February- they were great on pavement too. I go through shoes pretty quickly, but these hold up well especially if you ’ re not a wrecking crew with your shoes, which I admit is a good description of me. I highly recommend them.

I was so excited to find these hiking boots from Merrell. Their brand never fails me. I was anxious to get out for my first hike in them. They are strong, supportive, and my feet do n't get tired. There's no fatique after hiking. Even a long 5 mile hike. Hiked over rocks, and I could feel the support. No slip! For me, I would wear these all four seasons with the proper socks.
