I have been a die hard Glycerin fan for many years but decided to give the Ghost Max 2 Leather a try as I was looking for something that would crossover from fitness to fashion. My go to every day shoe. They are super versatile and comfy. I wear these to work with jeans, skirts, athleisure style slacks- they go with everything. I personally love the chunky look of them and the white leather makes them more fashion- forward and versatile. I wore them everyday straight for a week in Europe and had no reason to switch to my other shoes. They wipe clean easily too. These are not my favorite Brooks shoes for running, but definitely my favorite for daily wear comfort and style. Stiffer at first then other ghost max but they loosen a bit with wear. The leather is also less breathable than other materials, but worth it to me.

I ’ m not your typical running shoe purchaser but so glad I did buy them- on the recommendation of my podiatrist. I ’ m going to overseas on holiday and there is A LOT of walking involved- around 25, 000 or more steps a day. Ghost max feels better than I expected. I ’ m very surprised. I bought a 10. 5 wide and returned it for an 11 wide. I ’ m thinking I will try 11. 5 to see if it would be a tad bit more comfy or to big next time. Still feel like I can have a little bit more room. The support and the cushion are great. I don ’ t see how some found the shoe stiff or hard. The weight of the shoes is now heavier than other brands I have worn. I haven ’ t had a grip issue or any squeaking. But I haven ’ t walked on a wet surface yet.

If you ’ re a big, tall guy with foot issues, this is THE shoe for you. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 ” tall, about 250 lbs., with a bit of plantar fasciitis in my right foot, and high arches. I had the Beast 20 shoes before this, and these are the perfect replacement for those. Well- cushioned, great arch support, and very stable to walk/run in. The only criticism I can give is that I ’ d it if the upper reached a little higher on my foot. Having high arches means my foot is taller than usual, so I barely have enough lace- length left to tie them. I can get them tied, but barely, and since the tongue has that elastic strap on one side, it gets pulled toward that a bit.

These are the best trainers I have ever had. They are supportive and comfortable. I spent years wearing orthotic insoles due to knee and back pain but didnt need them in these trainers. I now have several pairs of these. I am able to run 5k in these without knee pain. I wear them for every day things too so I basically live in them. I have persuaded my mother to try them and she absolutely loves them. She is 74 years old with much worse joint problems than me but she has noticed a significant improvement wearing these trainers. I can not recommend them enough. I think all osteopaths and physios should be recommending these to their patients to be honest.

This has been my go to shoe for years. I learned years ago I needed motion control and this shoe was recommended. I notice the difference when wearing them that my ankles feel better supported. I have been wearing Brooks shoes for about 20 years and have tried several different models. The Addictions Walkers were the best for my job, police officer. However, it took me a while to find the right model for everyday use, after work. I have hip and lower back issues. The Walkers were not good for long period wear. The Adrenalines, Glycerins, Ghosts, Beasts and Addiction GTS are all mostly for running and wore down my hips and back. When the Ghost Max SE came out, I tried them on and the difference was amazing. I walk with my wife on a track that, with the other shoes, I could only make it once around because of the hip and back pain. I now make it around three times with very little discomfort. I bought my current pair the end of January and intend to buy another before we go on vacation in Florida the end of August. They are not only great for comfort, but also stylish enough for casual dress. Thank you, Brooks for developing these great shoes. The customers who got them as a complimentary sample are very fortunate.

I work from a standup desk and I also log several walking miles each workday traveling from one department to another, both indoors and out. These shoes leave my feet feeling great all day long, and well into the evening when the workday continues into overtime. I have worn Ghosts for several years but the Max is so much better at keeping my feet fresh all day. I will be back for more when I wear these out.

[ Overall I absolutely love these Brooks Ghost Max. I had the previous model and was pleasantly surprised with them and wasn ’ t sure how the updated model would be. Of course Brooks never lets me down. The updated look makes me feel like I have a shoe I can wear for style and running. When I first tried them on I noticed the back of heel cup has a lot more cushion than the previous models. This isn ’ t an issue except that it pushed my foot towards the front of the shoe. I tend to have a wider foot but order my running shoes in a standard width, so this caused my toes to rub a bit more than normal. Also, since they added the fabric around the toe box, it doesn ’ t allow as much movement for my toes. However! When designing that fabric they put little triangle cutouts that happen to be right next to the tip of my big toe. This gives my toe some breathing room when taking a step. Brooks Running gave me this free product to try.
