My first pair of Asics Gel- Cumulus and I am very impressed. These feel like you are walking on cloud. The cushion is very good. Though I am not a runner, I find these very useful for light jogging, on the treadmill or casual wear. They provide a good support and perfect even when I have them on for more than 12 hrs. Highly recommend.

Came to this shoe after 500 miles on a pair of NB fresh foam x more V4, a heavier more cushioned shoe. After initial run, I found these to be comfortable, supportive and very light/fast. Now I ’ m thinking I should have bought 2 pairs. I do about 120 miles a month, so I ’ m curious to see how long they will last running asphalt hills.

I was n't thrilled with any of the women's models/colors in wide width, so I decided to purchase the Men's Escalante 4( mens regular is equivalent to womens wide width) instead. I wear a 10- 10. 5 wide in womens and went with the mens size 9 in black/white- perfect fit. Of course I wish the color was a bit more feminine, but at least there was a neutral option! I 'm new to the wide toe box, zero drop but I 'm absolutely in love with this shoe& hope I never have to go back to traditional tennis shoes. Zero- drop requires some adjustment time- my calves have been BURNING on walks, so I 've had to slow it down. FYI I tried Flux footwear first, but they are ridiculously narrow, so I had to return( also beware their return policy). I wear my new altras for walking and strength training primarily, and I plan to wear them when I visit London for 10 days in October. So happy with my purchase overall. One critique is I 'd like to see more wide- width options for women.

I walk at least 10, 000 steps every day, so having the right shoes is very important to me. I used to wear the New Balance 9060, which I liked, but after switching to the Hoka Bondi 9, I can confidently say these are even better. The cushioning is amazing — it feels like I ’ m walking on clouds. My feet stay comfortable all day with no pain or fatigue, even after long walks. The shoes are lightweight but very supportive, and the fit is just perfect. If you walk a lot like I do, I highly recommend the Bondi 9. It ’s absolutely worth it! Size: Medium 6

I use this shoe for running mainly and love the wider toe box. It's a comfortable fit. The stack is not too high at 24 mm- I also have the escalante racer which has a 22mm stack. I am trying to progress down to minimalist shoes so the escalante 4 are a good step in that transition. I would like to see more choices from Altra with a low cushioning/ stack especially in their trail shoes. But I love that they stay loyal to the wider toe box and zero drop

I walk 7 miles a day and always would wear On Cloud X because they are the only ones that did n't hurt my feet. I have tried Hoka, Nike, On, ASICS, Reebok to name a few and since On changed their Cloud X they hurt too. I love these- they are comfortable and do n't hurt at all.

These are my new favorite work shoes! I am a nurse who works in a fast paced unit at a hospital for 12 hour shifts, let me tell you my feet do n't hurt after. I 've been searching for years for a shoe to help with my tired aching legs and feet. What makes these good for me is the slight negative heel drop, wide toe box and lower profile. I have tried many other expensive brands, some literally feel like I 'm walking in wet sand because of the incredibly high profile and cushion. I wear mostly barefoot type shoes at home but I found I needed a little cushion at work due to concrete floors. Thanks for making a shoe that seems to be made for me! I will definitely repurchase.
