After experiencing heel pain similar to a time where I had plantar fasciitis I immediately scheduled time with a doctor at Twin Cities Orthopedics. He found that while I did not have plantar fasciitis I needed to strengthen my foot muscles& use an insole that would provide better arch support. Swapped into my Air Jordan 1s for extra support. Not too thick that it changes the fit/sizing of the shoe. I have very flat feet so anything with an elevated/lifted heel usually causes back pain( which is why Jordan 1s are my preferred sneaker due to flatness of the shoe) but still needed something with arch support. Great study and multipurpose shoe! I use them to wear to dinner for smart casual on cruises, but I can also wear them for excursions. Even after wearing them for a week all day and in all terrains they still look brand new on the soles. I love the two strap as they adjust better for me for my foot and they feel better.

When I worn out my first pair of these boots, I went to order another pair and Carhartt was out of stock and did not have an availability date at that time. I have a wide foot and this boot is available in a wide size. This does not require any break in period. So when I saw that Carhartt brought back this boot in my size I bought 2 pairs.
