Catch Release

Couple cast in with this lure and caught a few spanish makeral, off a peer in southern florida. On my last cast with it i hooked something big it pulled like a Ray but could have been a large catfish, but it snapped my line& lost the lure and fish. Have to get another one it works well to catch a variety of fish.

In June, I used the chartreuse and silver Catch 2000 on the flats in Apalachee Bay south of St. Marks, FL. The water was tea- colored but clear, and there was a lot of lose floating grass in the water. After the fifth or sixth cast, something hit the lure so hard that it about yanked my shoulders out of their sockets. A second later, my line snapped and the beast( probably a cobia) and my Mirrolure was gone.

This is a great artificial. Cast it out, real it back in fairly fast and feel the strikes. I 've caught Red's, Snook, Lady Fish( I know but they 're fun to catch), and Mackerel( Spanish and King). I do however change out the Treble hook with a tougher# 4. The hooks that come on it are a little on the cheap side. Minor inconvenience for a great bait.
