Bought the lure to augment an offshore trolling spread consisting of surface and near- surface lines. Fished the plug on 20- pound trolling outfit, with 12- foot 150- pound mono leader, run about 100 feet down the middle. The plug pulls hard when trolled at 7 to 8 knots, but digs down and swims well, even at that speed-- although anglers should be warned that at that speed, a 20 is about as light as you can go, as the lure will take line off the reel if anything less than 7 pounds of drag is used. Primary target for the lure was dolphin( mahi- mahi), which hit it well when not showing on the surface; the plug drew a strike from my largest mahi of the 2018 season.

Great lure for Lake Michigan Smallies. I gave a 5 star review but it is more like 4. 5 stars. My only complaint would be that they are very heat sensitive. They will melt on you if you leave them in your hot trunk or hot bag. BUT.... They do hold up well to multiple catches per bait. And hold up well to being dragged across sharp, rocky bottom structure. Just keep them out of the heat and you will be good to go!

It is a heavier and larger swim bait. You won ’ t be able to throw it on any old rod but the action that you can get from this bait is unbelievable. With a steady slow retrieve it has a wide S glide to it and with a little flick of the rod you can make this bait completely stop and pull a 180. If anything was following the bait it will normally cause a reaction bite when the bait comes around face to face with the fish. You can throw it on braid or heavy flouro but you will need a heavy or xheavy rod to really he this thing going.

I purchased these GAMBLER ‘ little Ez ’s ’ from Dick ’s Sporting Good ’s less than a month ago and have only one left. Not for long though- I ’ m going to Dick ’s tomorrow to get more. Anyways, I slammed them. I use them as swim jig trailers. And when I want them to go deeper I rig them upside down. But they, obviously, work great rigged standard. I even caught a couple peacocks using VMC screw lock swim bait hooks. I highly recommend the gambler Lil Eazy. But don ’ t forget about the Ez and the big Ez. First time using this lure I went off the beach with my buddy looking for cobia but with non to be found, we then saw some birds diving and saw fish hitting on top so we headed that way. The fish that were feeding ended up being a school of feeding spinner sharks I said to my buddy that I aint getting skunked today and grabbed my rod with the DOA Swim mullet on it and the first cast hooked up and landed a four footer. Great action on this lure and held up well against the shark even know I hooked him in the corner of the mouth. The eye did fall off even before I used it that is why I gave it a four, a lil gorilla glue and it was as good as new. Cant wait for the tarpon to come in this year so I can throw this lure in front of them.
