I like this paddle very much. Perfect for my intermediate skill level.

For me the paddle seems to have a very good balance on control and power. Compared to my other paddles, the ball seems to stay on the paddle longer for better control of your shots. Paddle also seems to generate enough power for my serves and quick drives. I had added some lead tape around the four/five and seven/eight positions and added another wrap around the handle to increase the circumference. Paddle feels and plays great!

I have been playing pickle ball for a little over a year now, and I wanted to upgrade from my basic paddle to a newer paddle. I did my research and was so happy to buy the Selkirk amped pro. I just have so much more control of the ball and can place it where I want it. I thought for the value in the price. This was the best bang for my buck and I ’ m very happy that I made this purchase.

I bought this paddle for my son as an upgrade and he loves it!

I have played pickleball 2 to 4 times a week for the last 3 years. I started with a midrange carbon- faced paddle, then moved to the Selkirk LUXX S2 after two years, and the change made a remarkable improvement in my ability to control the ball. I still lacked power( but valued control), so I got this AMPED Pro Air Epic. It took me all of one game to regain control, but I noticed significant gain in power and speed.

nice feel light sweet spot is larger than my other paddle generates more power than my other paddle

I bought my first Vanguard 2. 0 Epic a couple of years ago, to upgrade from my Amped Epic( which I loved as a 'starter' paddle). I only switched because the reviews of the 2. 0 piqued my interest in more control. It literally transformed my game, though sacrificing power( not my game) for much better touch on my dinks and lobs. I realized I had worn enough grit off the surface to warrant a new paddle. I 've looked at the Power Air, but this 2. 0 Epic is still the paddle for me. It's all around performance is 5 Star in my book.

Love this paddle! I did a lot of research before purchasing a new pickleball paddle and this one fit all my needs. I have not been disappointed.

I am really happy with this Vanguard- Epic paddle- good control and good power. I first tried the LUXX and found it was too heavy for me. I returned it and replaced it with the Epic. I promply received the new paddle and a credit for the LUXX. Great company to buy from.

The EPIC is a great all around paddle. Perfect for a former tennis player. A little on the expensive side, but if you ’ re getting serious about the game you ’ re gon na be spending for a high quality paddle anyhow. Light and maneuverable; good pop while maintaining solid control.

When choosing a lightweight pickleball paddle, consider the paddle's weight, grip size, and material. A lighter paddle allows for quicker reactions and better maneuverability, while the grip size should feel comfortable in your hand. Additionally, the material can affect the paddle's durability and performance, so look for options that balance these factors for your playing style.
The design of a pickleball paddle can significantly influence your gameplay. Paddles with a larger sweet spot can enhance accuracy, while those with a specific shape may offer better control or power. Additionally, the surface texture can affect spin and ball control, making it essential to choose a design that complements your playing style.
Pickleball paddles are commonly made from materials such as polymer, composite, and wood. Polymer paddles are lightweight and provide good control, while composite paddles often offer a balance of power and touch. Wooden paddles are typically heavier and more durable but may not provide the same level of performance as their composite counterparts.
Lightweight pickleball paddles are ideal for players who prioritize speed and agility on the court. They are particularly beneficial for beginners who are still developing their skills, as well as advanced players who rely on quick reflexes and rapid movements. Additionally, players with arm or shoulder issues may find lightweight paddles easier to handle during extended play.
Yes, different paddle types can enhance specific playing styles. For example, players who focus on control and precision may prefer paddles designed for better touch, while those who play aggressively might benefit from paddles that offer more power. Understanding your playing style can help you choose a paddle that complements your strengths and improves your overall performance.
