These have been great so far! My kid is 8 almost 9 and he ’s been using these non stop for about two weeks now with no issues so far. I spent a lot of time researching and these seemed like the best choice to buy for a beginner without getting a cheap crummy pair. If he sticks with it, next time we can look into some more upgraded ones from the hockey store. Bonus fun fact- They light up!

I 'll start with the not great part first. Break in period was tough- probably b/c prior to this, I have n't skated since the Mighty Ducks franchise was in theaters. Once broken in, these babies fit like a perfectly- worn glove and they perform like Kobe in the clutch. Agile, fast, smooth, and supportive, my Twister XTs are BY FAR the best skates I 've ever worn. As good as advertised, do yourself a favor. Stop looking and buy yourself a pair.

I have used Lightning TRSs, Twisters, and Maxxums for the last 30 years. This is the best skate ever for Skate to Ski. It ’s stiffer than other skates so the support is outstanding. The new liner and footbed fit great. It fits so well that I took off the 45 deg buckle. I also put on a frame for bigger 90mm wheels. Great job Rollerblade!

I got these because I wanted to do off season ski training, and they came in my size and were n't too expensive. They 've been great for the ski stuff, and I 've started using them for longer skates and they 're great for those too. Comfortable, light, and stiff, with good feel and power transfer. Highly recommended!

The size chart was not helpful. According to their chart I should 've been a 7 but they were took small. It would be great if they had these in store so I could try them on... I love the rainbow style but the laces are too short. I do think they are good basic skates. Especially for those who want more ankle mobility. Loosen the wheels and they ride smooth indoor or outdoors

Skate brakes are essential components that help skaters slow down or stop safely while skating. They provide a reliable way to control speed, especially for beginners who may not yet have mastered advanced stopping techniques. Having a good quality skate brake can enhance your overall skating experience by boosting confidence and safety.
Not all skate brakes are compatible with every type of skate. Inline skates and quad skates typically have different brake systems, so it's important to check compatibility before purchasing. Additionally, some skates come with built-in brakes, while others may require separate installation.
If you are new to skating or plan to skate in areas where stopping quickly is necessary, a skate brake is highly recommended. Even experienced skaters may benefit from having a brake for added safety, especially in crowded or unpredictable environments. Consider your skating style and the surfaces you will be on when deciding.
Skate brakes are usually made from durable materials such as rubber or plastic, designed to withstand friction and wear over time. Some may also incorporate metal components for added strength and stability. The choice of material can affect the brake's performance and longevity.
Yes, skate brakes can often be replaced or upgraded depending on the design of the skates. Many skaters choose to upgrade to higher-quality brakes for better performance or to match their skating style. It's important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for replacement to ensure proper fit and function.
When selecting a skate brake, consider factors such as compatibility with your skates, the type of skating you will be doing, and the brake's material and durability. Additionally, think about your skill level and whether you prefer a brake that offers quick stopping power or one that provides more gradual control.
