My Keen canvas Howsers were getting a little worn so I decided to try a new, different pair. I liked the look and style of this shoe and as luck would have it they were on sale. I ordered my normal size 11. When they arrived they were just a tad too short. Keen makes it easy to return and I ordered a size 11. 5 and they arrived and fit perfect!! So far these boots are great. More comfortable initially than the centurions where. Break in seems to be going well too. Only thing I would like to see different is for the lace hooks to be a little more open on the ones below the top ones. All of them but the first ones kinda require a bit of force to get the lace in. I do like that though for the top most ones as it keeps the laces from unraveling like the centurions would.

Wrong size
They seem to be a size smaller than normal size. I have always wore a 9 1/2 in all my shoes and boots but they seem to fit like an 8 1/2. Other than the size difference, these seem to be some of the best built and great quality boots that I ’ ve purchased in a long time. Hopefully after I get the right size, they will last me a while.

This is my third pair of Xtratuf boots, I have a tall pair and a regular deck boot pair -- - I 've been wearing them for at least 5 years. The boots I have are great but not the warmest and I 've always wished I could find a warm Xtratuf boots. Well these boots are IT! With a midweight wool sock, these boots kept my feet warm when it was pretty dang cold. And I love the color scheme, girly without looking unserious. They used to be XtraTuf. Everybody called them Alaska sneakers because everywhere you go, somebody is wearing tufs. The quality went downhill a little bit after they stopped manufacturing them in the USA but overall they '' re still a decent boot. I 've had the composite toe and the regular 15 '' legacy boots for over a decade, the 're more comfortable than a muck boot in my opinion and better for working on boats than most other rubber boots. As a fishing guide I always have a pair with me, it's always raining in Alaska.

I been wearing these boots for a couple of years now. They are the best work boot I 've ever worn. I have a pair of the 4. 5 '' and these 8 '' I wear them at different times depending on the job. These are perfect if you have a wide foot but not too wide. Regular boots are usually too narrow for me. Wide boots are usually too wide. I was told that Danner Boots run `` Narrow '' That probably is true cause the wide ones fit me perfect. Not too wide like the other brands.

I bought these as soon as I saw they came out because I loved the Kinetic I and wore those until they fell apart. I ’ m actually more impressed with this shoe than I was with the previous version. I thought they ’ d be too narrow but they have much more structure than the I, and I like the wider base of the sole on these. The black looks really nice with a few accent colors. I wish the bottom had a funky color like the others, but that ’s just me! I ’ m not a runner or athlete so haven ’ t tested these in actual fitness situations but love them for all day wear to the office. Just like the I, I did go half of a size down from my normal 7. 5 and they fit perfectly.

Not too tight on foot. A little slippage; yet I appreciated room for foot to move and expand on days our walking exceeded 6 miles during a hot summer day. I wore no show socks. I was very happy I packed these shoes for the trip and look forward to wearing more now that I am home. One note: small gravel pieces can make their way inside through mesh. Super comfortable right out of the box, a little squeaky on tile and vinyl floors the first few hours I wore them but that quickly went away. Didn ’ t notice a breaking in phase like I do with other boots and the side zip makes them really easy to take on and off. Haven ’ t used them in inclement weather yet but they feel solid and I have no issue wearing them while on my feet for 8+ hours a day. The boots are breathable and with the right socks my feet don ’ t sweat like they did with other boots no matter what I did. Looking like this will be the boot I use for the rest of my career.

My only complaint with these boots is that they took forever to break in. After two weeks I thought about returning them because the leather uppers were digging into my ankle so badly that I had bruises. I kept wearing them because of all of the good reviews. At about 3 - 4 weeks of wear they just kind of conform to your foot. Now at 8 months they are the most comfortable shoe I own period. After a weekend of wearing tennis shoes my feet actually feel good slipping into these work boots. I can work an 8 hour shift on my feet and keep them on after work until I go to sleep and they are still comfortable. Not to mention that they are holding up great and if I cleaned them they 'd probably look new. I will be replacing these with a pair of the same boots when these finally wear out.

I 've had these boots for over a year, working 10 - 12 hours a day 5 - 7 days a week. I work in the elements. I have tromped through water, been on ladders for hours of the day with no arch pain, rested heavy objects on them, and put them through a good bit of everything. They still do not leak water, they are still comfortable, they have not torn at any seams and keep my feet happy. I would buy these again without hesitation and would highly recommend them to friends and coworkers. I had to replace the laces today but that is expected. They do not have to be broken in like some other boots.

I hope XTRATUF never stops making these. I recently picked up shifts at a restaurant in my town that has stairs!
