Most excellent bike lock. It is so thin I 'm not anticipating it getting stiff in cold weather. Yay. However, the bike tire I had done there had the wrong sized inner tube by about 12 '' and I had to buy slime from Amazon, so I went to The Bike Shop for my last flat tire. Better tire repair.

The STL2 receiver lock came with my 916XTR T2 platform rack and has subtle features that make it excellent for the job. First of all the bolt is threaded with a pair of lock washers, so once you tighten the bolt with an ordinary 17mm wrench, it stays tight unlike slip in pins that other I 've seen on other bike carriers. The bolt also goes all the way through the receiver, not just one side. Finally, the locking end piece has a flip up dust cap to protect your lock cylinder from the elements, and the lock cylinder is the same as the locks used on Thule's bike racks meaning that I have matching locks for both the rack cables and the STL2 using one key. It's a simple product but the little features make it a good one.
