I have a small truck with a topper. Having bike pads between the gate and topper is a bit tight, and having roof racks on the topper is a bit high for loading and unloading, so these hitch racks are my preferred method. This one has no flaws that I 've come across and is easy to use. It is on the heavier side but I 'd prefer that not being sturdy enough. Fairly easy to setup if you get it shipped. It folds up nicely when not in use such that I do n't have to take it off. Definitely recommend.

My Jeep Gladiator has the option to place bikes over the tailgate, but when you are only 5' 5 '' this can be a challenge. As well, I recently purchased an electric bike that needed a rack to transport. The T2 Pro XTR is amazing. The ability to push up and out of the way when driving without bikes it convenient. And even more convenient, is the ability to tilt it down out of the way when opening the truck gate. It handles the weight of the ebikes with no problem, and keeps my ride looking lean and mean. Great product!

I have had the hitch rack for about a month. The ease of taking it off and putting it back onto my vehicle makes this rack ideal. Then, when you add the security of how the bike is connected to the rack gives me peace of mind with my bikes on the rack.

The Thule T2 Pro XTR has a couple advantages over the competition. The wheels make a huge difference moving the rack into position to install on your vehicle. Simply roll to the proper position behind your vehicle and lift to insert into the hitch. Racks this heavy duty weigh a lot. The handle to lift and lower the rack is also much easier to use than the levers most companies use on their product.

The new add on works perfect. In addition to increasing the space between the bikes the `` XT '' versions have over twice as much side to side adjustment so the bikes can be off set more. I do n't believe that there would be a problem mounting 4 bikes unless perhaps trying to carry four fat bikes with 197 rear ends. The only issue I have now is the weight. I suppose there is reason to make this whole system so heavy but it 'd be nice if Thule came out with a super light Alloy Premium version... or go carbon fiber like the bikes!

[ As my youngest learned to ride and began joining us on the trails we needed a better way to transport 4 bikes. Going with the T2 Pro( and the add on) is so much easier than the “ hanging ” racks, particularly for four bikes. very solid and stable over bumps and on the highway. If there ’s a downside, it ’s that its pretty heavy in the four bike configuration so less likely to Want to remove the rack from the car frequently.( Two person job for sure.). The integrated cable locks making stopping for a bite possible although they ’ re not long enough for both wheels and frame so for overnight stops With expensive bikes an additional locking setup would probably be wise. You can also order cylinders for the extension to match the base rack so you ’ ll only need to carry one key( strongly recommended.

I have the Thule T- 2 Pro XTR. Love it. Works great with my carbon fiber frames. Bought the add on when we have extra bikes to bring with us.

Really solid and safe bike rack for 4 bikes. To assemble it, the bolt welds protruded too much to slide into the receiver. I had to grind them flush to get the add on to slide in. It can be a 2 or 4 bike rack but it will take some assembly and disassembly to make it work

Bought this a month ago. Have only used on one trip, but worked great. Driving country roads that need some TLC, and handled the ruts beautifully! Easy to build, but directions have no words. Would buy again. Needed a little WD40 to get the mast to move into the right position the first time.

Originally I purchased the traditional car bike rack but with having two mountain bikes the fit was just two tight and the bikes were are odd angles. I returned it to Dicks with no issues and purchased this one. It took a few minutes to setup but for the most part it is pretty straightforward. The rack is not to heavy and works very well. It is not a heavy duty as the original bike rack I returned but I suspect it will hold up just fine. If I was to pick out any weak points it would be the plastic adjustment knobs other than it should be fine.

I bought this two weeks ago, and it is a great bike rack. The only reason I give it a 4 is that it is really heavy. Loading bikes is n't bad, but I wish the Locking curve piece swiveled. That would make it easier to load the bikes. I think it is very secure when bikes are on it. Almost forgot the second thing I dislike about it, is the Locking pin. It is n't a pin, its a screw bolt. You have to buy the malone locking pin if you want to lock the Locking pin. I have a 2023 Traverse and the Locking pin has to be just screwes in just perfect for me to get the lock part on, because if its screwed in to much I ca n't because it is to close to my electrical plug.
