I ride a 32lb mountain bike and this rack is very stable, even on some very rough logging roads that I took it on. I was worried about getting some side to side movement in the rougher areas of the road but my friend who was driving behind me said it did not look wobbly at all! The locking arm seems more like a preventative feature but it would bring some peace of mind if I wanted to run into a store or a restaurant briefly. The ratchet straps also really lock down the wheels and are very easy to use. Keep in mind you do actually have to lift your complete bike up on your roof so it may not be ideal for the vertically challenged or those with larger SUV's or Trucks but I have a 2011 Ford Escape and with my bike on the roof, I still have about 9 feet of clearance.

We own 2 Pedego electric bikes. It is a puzzle every time to fit the bikes because one tends to forget how. Bikes are scratched because the pedals knock and scrape into the other bike's frame. More space between such bikes would be very helpful.( Improvement tips for Thule design team?) I like the foldability, moveability of the rack and minimum effort to attach to car. Another feature I like is that the rack can be tilted back with bikes on the rack and have access to my trunk. The extra long straps I bought later are very expensive for it just being plastic, I think Thule could have delivered the rack with longer straps to begin with. The gutter guide to roll the bikes onto the rack I have mixed feelings about. They are flimsy, slide around and when stored inside the rack I could n't make them fit very well, they are now parked inside my car trunk. The bike arms, to hold and lock the bikes in place, I need 2 hands to unlock them to move them around to find the right spot to attach to the bikes, all plastic( plastic/nylon?) parts and I wonder how long they will last. I personally need 2 people to load 2 bikes just to avoid scratching and nicking the bikes. But I am happy with my bike rack, it is compact when stored in garage and it has 2 wheels when moved.

It's a great bike rack. It's very secure in my hitch and the bikes are very secure on the rack. They are carbon fiber road bikes so I also use Carbon Frame Protectors. There is very little movement of the rack while driving. Everything locks with one key the rack to the hitch, and each bike's holding arm. And it folds up to a nice small size which is great as I do n't have much storage space. The only issue is the instructions are terrible practically useless. I found a really good video on YouTube which went through everything step by step. The first time I used the rack I watched the video several times. I think without the video I may not have gotten everything secured properly.

I was looking for a non- hitch rack that allows me to open/close the rear hatch without removing the rack. This system fits the bill. It's a little tricky to learn the assembly, but once done, you do n't have to disassemble for storage. You can also leave it on the car after the bikes are removed because the arms fold down and lock.

I did some research prior to purchasing this bike rack and low and behold Thule is one of the leading companies making them. This bike rack is very well constructed and I did spend more on it than I wanted to, but I truly believe that it will hold up. Everyone I know who cycles and has these bike racks tells me stories of how they hold up forever. This is my first bike rack, and I put it on the back of my new Prius and it fits perfectly. I put two bikes on it and drove over an hour on the Interstate and NO issues at all! It is very sturdy! It is a little more expensive, but you will not regret buying it. I have NO regrets and if it were to get stolen I would definitely buy another Thule bike rack!

The best part about this purchase was that the manager sent an associate out to our car to help us assemble the rack and load the bikes on. He was very polite and helpful. Easy to detach and attach from car by myself but it is heavy, 90 lbs?( I 'm a middle aged male weekend warrior). I can carry the rack balanced on my shoulders and waddle over to our side of the house for storage when not in use.

Fits 4 different bikes with no problems. I out a small xc bike, gravel bike, DH bike and another hard tail bike on there and it was perfect. Can raise and lower with very little effort. Coming in at 70# i believe it certainly is easier to maneuver. Very happy with the purchase/. Tool less hitch receiver works great with included key. Is there anything they did n't think of with this rack? Honestly amazing rack.

This was the first Thule product I purchased. After researching most, if not all, vertical bike racks, this one seemed to have the most features, and looks the cleanest. Setup was easy. The ReVert does n't rattle or sway thanks to the integrated hitch lock. Loading the bikes is very easy since you can( just about) roll the bikes into position. The hydraulic arm effortlessly raises the bikes, and dampens them coming down when tilting the rack down.

I got the rack around a month ago. Bike season is not in full swing yet but have used it a fair bit so far with up to three bikes. Set up was very easy, I did it solo and it was very manageable. Feels so sturdy. The stabilizer in the hitch is so awesome, the rack barely moves at all. The damper is really strong which is great when the rack is loaded but when empty it ’s a little awkward to get raised and lowered but once you get the strategy it ’s not bad( I put my foot on the hitch and hang onto the baskets and let my body weight pull the rack down). My girlfriend who is 5 ’ 4 ” can lower the rack on her own and load her size Small bike on pretty easily which is awesome. If I ’ m solo with a lighter bike I ’ ve been just lifting the bike into the rack without lowering it just to save a step and it ’s a pretty easy option as well. I ’ ve used it with 29 ’, 27. 5 ’, 26 ’, and 700c and they seem to hold well. I also bought the repair stand and integrated lock and both are well thought out and really nice additions. I think the value for this rack is awesome compared to the competition. The damper assist up and optional accessories is really sets it apart for me. I was also looking at Velocirax and Jambo Designs when deciding what to buy but I ’ m so glad I got the Revert.

Originally I purchased the traditional car bike rack but with having two mountain bikes the fit was just two tight and the bikes were are odd angles. I returned it to Dicks with no issues and purchased this one. It took a few minutes to setup but for the most part it is pretty straightforward. The rack is not to heavy and works very well. It is not a heavy duty as the original bike rack I returned but I suspect it will hold up just fine. If I was to pick out any weak points it would be the plastic adjustment knobs other than it should be fine.

That would make it easier to load the bikes. I think it is very secure when bikes are on it. Almost forgot the second thing I dislike about it, is the Locking pin. It is n't a pin, its a screw bolt. You have to buy the malone locking pin if you want to lock the Locking pin. I have a 2023 Traverse and the Locking pin has to be just screwes in just perfect for me to get the lock part on, because if its screwed in to much I ca n't because it is to close to my electrical plug.

I have a small truck with a topper. Having bike pads between the gate and topper is a bit tight, and having roof racks on the topper is a bit high for loading and unloading, so these hitch racks are my preferred method. This one has no flaws that I 've come across and is easy to use. It is on the heavier side but I 'd prefer that not being sturdy enough. Fairly easy to setup if you get it shipped. It folds up nicely when not in use such that I do n't have to take it off. Definitely recommend.

My Jeep Gladiator has the option to place bikes over the tailgate, but when you are only 5' 5 '' this can be a challenge. As well, I recently purchased an electric bike that needed a rack to transport. The T2 Pro XTR is amazing. The ability to push up and out of the way when driving without bikes it convenient. And even more convenient, is the ability to tilt it down out of the way when opening the truck gate. It handles the weight of the ebikes with no problem, and keeps my ride looking lean and mean. The Thule T2 Pro XTR has a couple advantages over the competition. The wheels make a huge difference moving the rack into position to install on your vehicle. Simply roll to the proper position behind your vehicle and lift to insert into the hitch. Racks this heavy duty weigh a lot. The handle to lift and lower the rack is also much easier to use than the levers most companies use on their product.

This is my second Saris SuperClamp I have purchased. I gave my first one to my son and daughter- in- law so they could transport their two bikes. What I love the most about this one is the tilt so you can get into your trunk as well as the fact that when you tilt it back in you have more space in the garage. Also like the addition of the wheel straps on this. I am 5' 1 '' so it is important that it is light weight and easy enough to handle. I put it together with no problems.

[ This is my 2nd Superclamp. The first one was destroyed when someone rear ended me. The Superclamp absorbed the blow and saved my car! [ Instillation was simple and quick as is securing the bikes. I used an aftermarket hitch stabilizer for some extra stability. Bikes feel secure in the rack. I took a heavy pedal assist and fairly light hybrid from NYC to Maine and back without issue. The pedal assist has front and back fenders but it was not an issue when securing the bike. I used the built in locks for front tires and my own heavy chains an locks for the bikes when I could n't bring them in and had no issues. It was tricky to find a rack for a 1. 25inch hitch that could solidly secure a heavy pedal assist with front and back fenders and I 'm happy the Saris does this with ease.

[ Finally got tired of shoving my bike into the cab of my Jeep and bought the Yak SpareRide... could n't happier with the purchase. Install was simple and the fold- down feature is convenient. The ratchet clips are a little tricky at first but hold the bikes securely while driving. The locking mount knob is awesome and having a simple cable lock that is keyed- alike with the knob is so convenient. Overall, it's a pretty slick system that is solidly built and well- refined for my needs.

This is a great rack and is super easy to install. If you can remove your spare tire, you can install it with no problem. Works great for my 2023 Land Rover Defender, the middle length post is a perfect fit for the standard 22 inch rims. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that full suspension mountain bikes can require a bit of creativity to mount due to the SpareRide holding them at two points on the top tube and one point on the seat tube. Depending on the anatomy of your bike I can see this rack maybe not working, but for all other bikes you 'll be good to go.
