We own 2 Pedego electric bikes. It is a puzzle every time to fit the bikes because one tends to forget how. Bikes are scratched because the pedals knock and scrape into the other bike's frame. More space between such bikes would be very helpful.( Improvement tips for Thule design team?) I like the foldability, moveability of the rack and minimum effort to attach to car. Another feature I like is that the rack can be tilted back with bikes on the rack and have access to my trunk. The extra long straps I bought later are very expensive for it just being plastic, I think Thule could have delivered the rack with longer straps to begin with. The gutter guide to roll the bikes onto the rack I have mixed feelings about. They are flimsy, slide around and when stored inside the rack I could n't make them fit very well, they are now parked inside my car trunk. The bike arms, to hold and lock the bikes in place, I need 2 hands to unlock them to move them around to find the right spot to attach to the bikes, all plastic( plastic/nylon?) parts and I wonder how long they will last. I personally need 2 people to load 2 bikes just to avoid scratching and nicking the bikes. But I am happy with my bike rack, it is compact when stored in garage and it has 2 wheels when moved.

It's a great bike rack. It's very secure in my hitch and the bikes are very secure on the rack. They are carbon fiber road bikes so I also use Carbon Frame Protectors. There is very little movement of the rack while driving. Everything locks with one key the rack to the hitch, and each bike's holding arm. And it folds up to a nice small size which is great as I do n't have much storage space. The only issue is the instructions are terrible practically useless. I found a really good video on YouTube which went through everything step by step. The first time I used the rack I watched the video several times. I think without the video I may not have gotten everything secured properly.

This product is great for any bike especially for any one with lifting inabilities because it comes with a show away ramp. I purchased for heavy DH hikes and my fender covered touring bike. I was looking for a non - hitch rack that allows me to open/close the rear hatch without removing the rack. This system fits the bill. It's a little tricky to learn the assembly, but once done, you do n't have to disassemble for storage. You can also leave it on the car after the bikes are removed because the arms fold down and lock.

This bike rack is very well constructed and I did spend more on it than I wanted to, but I truly believe that it will hold up. Everyone I know who cycles and has these bike racks tells me stories of how they hold up forever. This is my first bike rack, and I put it on the back of my new Prius and it fits perfectly. I put two bikes on it and drove over an hour on the Interstate and NO issues at all! It is very sturdy! It is a little more expensive, but you will not regret buying it. My Jeep Gladiator has the option to place bikes over the tailgate, but when you are only 5'5 '' this can be a challenge. As well, I recently purchased an electric bike that needed a rack to transport. The T2 Pro XTR is amazing. The ability to push up and out of the way when driving without bikes it convenient. And even more convenient, is the ability to tilt it down out of the way when opening the truck gate. It handles the weight of the ebikes with no problem, and keeps my ride looking lean and mean. The Thule T2 Pro XTR has a couple advantages over the competition. The wheels make a huge difference moving the rack into position to install on your vehicle. Simply roll to the proper position behind your vehicle and lift to insert into the hitch. Racks this heavy duty weigh a lot. I ride a 32lb mountain bike and this rack is very stable, even on some very rough logging roads that I took it on. I was worried about getting some side to side movement in the rougher areas of the road but my friend who was driving behind me said it did not look wobbly at all! The locking arm seems more like a preventative feature but it would bring some peace of mind if I wanted to run into a store or a restaurant briefly. The ratchet straps also really lock down the wheels and are very easy to use. Keep in mind you do actually have to lift your complete bike up on your roof so it may not be ideal for the vertically challenged or those with larger SUV's or Trucks but I have a 2011 Ford Escape and with my bike on the roof, I still have about 9 feet of clearance.

We got the 5 bike rack for our 2 adult bikes and 1 larger kids bike. Fits well for 3 bikes but will be snug for 4 5 bikes for this 5 bike rack. Learned from last 4 bike Thule we had years ago for 3 bikes as that was snug. Easy to use and would recommend.

I have had this rack for a year and it is great. It takes a bit to get used to but after that is was easy for me and my wife to put on 3 - 4 adult size bikes for our weekly outings with family. The rack keeps the bikes safe and secure. We use an adapter for bikes with angled downtubes. Highly recommend.

We just received our long awaited bike rack. It was easy to assemble and very easy to use. It folds together very compactly so if you have to store, it doesn ’ t take up much space. I like the extra lock features so you feel comfortable leaving your bikes if you run into a store.

I bought this for the back of our Suburban. We have 3 Adults Trek Mountain Bikes and a Hybrid. I had to' read' the instructions a couple of times because they are pictures and I took a moment to sink in( LOL)... however, it really could not have been easier to set up and use. It's very sturdy and if you following the weight order and driving( stop every 200 miles and check your straps) instructions, it's an excellent rack! I should have ponied up a while ago to get one sooner. Overall, we are very happy!

I ’ ve had this rack for a few months, it stays on my car 100% of the time. Some of the negative reviews confuse me because I think the rack does exactly what it ’s designed to do. With any Thule defect issues I ’ ve had with any products, Thule has always stepped up and corrected the issue in a timely fashion, they just require proof of purchase. So far, I ’ ve only had to load 3 bikes, but it worked like a charm. I love the functionality of the swing arm, giving me access to my trunk while loaded with bikes. Our other car has the traditional Thule fold down rack. It works too except when we have bikes loaded. I would highly recommend this rack if the features meet your needs.

Awesome bike rack. When installing make sure that the two locks are on the top left and bottom right. Also, its critical that you tighten the screws as tight as they will go or the treys will be loose. If you follow instructions you will be very content.

It is very sturdy and easy to get the rack tight on the bikes which has been a bit challenging with other racks we have owned. This rack is perfect. I could n't be happier. I also own a Vertex rack which is great for my bike but not for my wife's step through frame which is a pain to strap up. This solves that issue perfectly as it's held by the tires and not the top tube on the frame. It also eliminates the bikes banging together while traveling. One other thing I noticed is that I can see out of my rear view camera when backing up again as it's not blocked by the upright of the Vertex rack I had. I love that it does n't touch or scratch the frame when I bring my bike back dirty and probably the simplest installation I 've ever seen. My wife can toss her bike on quickly and easily. Nice touch with the integrated locks as well. Solid while driving and folds up nicely when not in use. Well done guys.

[ Although expensive, this rack is great. Holds bikes securely and does n't rattle around at all. I do n't have any issues with the arm coming loose like I 've seen on some videos and reviews. It is large also once you have the two pieces connected together. My one warning: I think that it is confusing with the NV 2. 0, NV Base 2. 0, NV Base 2. 0 Add - On, and NV 2. 0 Add - On. I purchased the NV 2. 0 base thinking that it was the initial part of the rack that holds the first two bikes then bought the NV 2. 0 Add - On for the next two bikes. While they do connect together, they do n't match. One is shiny black and the other is matte.
