Compared to the elite KVD 1. 5 which is a standard go- to lure in tournament fishing, the deep diver allows for the extra depth necessary to reach those hard to reach areas with steep elevation changes such as rock ledges, hard bluffs, or even deep grass ridden areas with hard roots. Adding the extra 4 feet reach compared to the 3- 6 ft on the 1. 5 will allow you to knock up against that cover and structure where those lunkers are sitting. I got a chance to use the jig head today and it has great action. I used it with a gulp 4 inch swimming mullet and got a lot of hits. Only problem was that hook was took big for the small fish biting off the mullet tails.

I only bank fish and had trouble getting a jig under the over hangs from the bank until I discovered this little jig. I can flip it straight along the bank under the overhang and slowly wind it back catching those hiding bass by surprise and getting a reaction bite. Highly recommend this little jig.

The KVD 200 dives between 4- 7 feet on a braid to 10 lb, 12 foot fluorocarbon leader depending on how far you cast and how long you crank it down. I 'm able to cast it like a bullet on both a spinning and baitcasting rod because of the weight transfer system and shape of the bait. It has a wide, erratic darting action that works well to trigger a strike. The bait does suspend on the pause in water temps between 62 F and 72 F that I 've used it. I was very impressed with the realism of the natural bream color I ordered and it seemed to fool the bass too. Sharp hooks, but not sticky sharp. Overall a good jerkbait to keep in my rotation that does n't break the bank.

I think this is one of the best swimbait deals on the market. It is only 20 for 42, that is if you dont care about color. I bought mine online and got black and blue for the 3. 25 inch size instead of pumkinseed.
