I spend more time on foot than in the boat so I was after a boot that would be durable and sturdy across land as much as in the water. The M's Flyweight are performing well in this regard. The sole is remarkably `` sticky '' so far and inspires a lot of confidence in stability. I ca n't imagine what they 'd be like with cleats! They are a boot so they do have a bit of heft to them, but relative to other boots I have used these are pretty light.

The boot is fairly lightweight and rugged. Very simple boot without much to it. Fits true to size and is able to lace up securely. Not as stiff as most other wading boots. I like that it has the metal rivets along the eyelights for the laces. These boots appear as if they were made to last. I would recommend this boot to others. I ’ m on my second pair. They last about 14 months for me. But I truly don ’ t mind because these are by far the most comfortable deck boot/shoe whatever you wan na call it that I ’ ve worn. I compare the soul of the boot to one of the “ helm pads ” that are nice and squishy and comfy to save your feet back and knees on those nasty days running in a 27 ’ cc. With these no matter where you stand you have a helm pad under your feet. I ’ ve had many pairs of the original 6 ” xtratufs over the years and one pair of all black leathers 6 ” boots for work and the sports are still by far my favorite. I love G3 Guide Wading Boots, I 've bought two pair. One pair is rubber bottomed, I use them in the winter and in the summer when I am hiking into distant waters. The second pair is the Felt Sole. We have many streams and rivers in my area that are VERY slippery or have bowling ball sized rocks. The Felt Sole works like a magnet making wading much safer. As an older angler, the felt bottom works like magic. Not sure what the T tab on the back is for, I 'd prefer the old- style loop when pulling on my boots.

My boots just come in and they are a one size 2 BIG. Normally I ’ ll wear a ten. I had to send back and get a nine they come in and they fit perfect. They look good and I will buy another pair if they don ’ t quit making them.

Bought these 4 years ago been doing line work, underground construction work, hinting and everyday use finally popped a seam I will only buy these boots outlasted my danner and red wing boots!

Being underground in rough conditions, wet, uneven and rocky, these are the most comfortable boots I 've had thus far. That being said there is only one flaw in the boots. The liner broke loose from the boot and I have to use a shoe horn to get one of them off. If they could prevent this from happening I would say it was the perfect boot for coalmining.
