My family and I have been using the Takeya Actives water bottels for many years. We 've tried other brands( Hydroflask, Thermoflask, Stanley, RTIC) in between, that do n't come close to the quality and durability because of the price, but ultimatley we keep coming back to Takeya. My kids went from the 18oz to the 24oz to the 32oz now that they are in middle school. My husband uses the 32oz and I am using the 40oz bottle daily. My kids are rough on thier bottles, once by using it to try to get a ball that was stuck in a tree down by throwing the bottle up into the tree several times and letting it fall to the ground!! It was dented after that, but despite the abuse, the water stayed cold and it did n't leak at all for the 2- 3 weeks it took me to get around to getting the replacement bottle. We love the spout lid! It's simple to use and easy to clean! I order replacement gaskets to keep on hand in case they begin to mold, which has happened twice in all of the years we 've used them.

This works exactly as advertised. My drinks stay cold and I do n't lose carbonation, all day. It does need to stay upright, because it leaks if you drop it on its side, or at least the one I have suffers from that issue. I have n't taken the time to check the gasket, so it might just need to be seated in the lid better. Overall, it's an amazing product.

I bought this one because I wanted to have a water bottle for my river trips without having a whole cooler and separate float. I also have the growler that BruMate used to sell which holds 5 1/2 beer. So that growler and this large water bottle is perfect for a trip on the river. The silicone sleeve also held with dings and is interchangeable. I like that I don ’ t have to touch the straw to draw it out and put it back. I added a paracord and carabiner to carry and strap to my tube to secure it when the rapids approach. Just go for it its very worth it!
