I have been using Atom hard baits for a 1/4 of a century. They work! I still have some that are at least 10 years old. Hardware holds up to saltwater. They cast a mile. Big smash and a ton of topwater slosh. Schoolies and blues ca n't stay away. They keep their paint to dozens( if not hundreds) of strikes. When nothing else works these always prove themselves. Always have two or three onboard.

In June, I used the chartreuse and silver Catch 2000 on the flats in Apalachee Bay south of St. Marks, FL. The water was tea- colored but clear, and there was a lot of lose floating grass in the water. After the fifth or sixth cast, something hit the lure so hard that it about yanked my shoulders out of their sockets. A second later, my line snapped and the beast( probably a cobia) and my Mirrolure was gone.

This is a great artificial. Cast it out, real it back in fairly fast and feel the strikes. I 've caught Red's, Snook, Lady Fish( I know but they 're fun to catch), and Mackerel( Spanish and King). I do however change out the Treble hook with a tougher# 4. The hooks that come on it are a little on the cheap side. Minor inconvenience for a great bait.
