This is 1st larger or oversized putter grip I have ever tried. I like the way it looks and feels. I wanted an Odyssey since I have an Odyssey putter. I did n't buy it thinking of game improvement, I 've always been a fairly average putter. Too many other issues to focus on to worry about my putting. Or so I thought. I have been putting better than I have ever putted before since going to an oversized grip. I noticed it at first and chalked it up to just a good round of golf. Then I realized that I was making longer putts with ease and next to never 3 putting. I putt the ball right on the line I 'm setting up to and ca n't believe how consistent I putt now. I have only installed this on a couple of clubs, but am happy enough with it's performance and feel that I plan to do the full set. I was looking for an inexpensive and less rough alternative to my Golf Pride Z- Grips, which I love. One of the reasons I have stayed with them for so long is because they are durable. However, they can tear your hands up after a while. Your glove seems to wear out sooner too. I have also tried Lamkin cord grips, but, for whatever reason, I seem to wear them out faster. Tour Velvet cords were an option as well, but since these were a couple of dollars cheaper( and they were out of stock), figured why not give them a try. Truth be told though, these are n't as grippy as the Z- Grips or Crossline Cords, because they are less rough. But I wanted a balance of comfort and performance and these seem to do the job at a cheaper price point. While some may prefer the standard black, I chose white( with black cord) just to make my set a little different.

With all of the putter grips on the market today, it can be difficult to find a traditional style pistol grip. This grip is the smallest in the line but isn ’ t as small as something like a ping blackout. I would consider it mid- size but it doesn ’ t take away from feel and feedback. The cord option is a good choice as well.
