I have a miniscus tear and I did research on the Shock Doctor 872 knee brace. It gives maximum support and the comfort level was what sold me on buying it. Way better then the standard issue braces that the doctor gives you. The fit is also what made this brace a winner. It's Contoured for your leg with the wider end for your thigh and the smaller end for you knee and calf. The velcro straps made it stay up and not move. The items was easy to put on. It had your regular sizes that actually fit a kid. This was for my son that was 11 years old. All the other brands had this S/M size that did n't fit. Too big. The shock doctor had S. So it is working out great. It slips on and off easier. It holds the elasticity. So far so good. It is breathable
