I ’ ve had my griddle for a year and used about twice a month and my top has absolutely no deterioration or excessive wear. The griddle has never seen any metal cooking utensils or abrasive cleaning products or tools. I use only Pit Boss utensils for the griddle and clean with Dawn soap, water and the Pit Boss scrub pad( recommended by Pit Boss). Another tip would be to not use oil( as you would with a steel grill). I use butter and only enough to flavor. My experience is better than most reviews. You can ’ t treat this griddle like a steel top.

Have had this for about 5 weeks, and cooked steaks, burgers, hash browns, eggs,& vegies. The cooking heat range is exceptional compared to my old grill. I bought a laser heat gauge to fine tune the exact heat I want, and it works great. The control knobs maintain the exact heat I want. Clean- up is the best part of this griddle. Start to finish less than 10 minutes, including re- oil for next use. The steaks maintain the juice inside, unlike my old grill, where the juice fell through the grills. I wonder if some of the long- term complaints are due to failure to maintain the griddle with oil and after use maintenance. My only complaint is I waited to long to switch from grill to griddle

We love our Coleman RoadTrip! We take it everywhere! We really love the ease of portability, it really makes it an easy choice for us to take it places such as beaches, parks, on trips, weekend getaway ’s. Especially when you can just fold it flat and wheel it to your destination and it does fold flat and wheel with ease. This little grill also cooks well, the heat distribution is excellent! How do you make a transportable barbecue? Just ask the Camp Chef crew, they thought of everything. I own the 14 inch barbecue box. It ’s easy to move, just carry it in one piece with large sturdy handle, and locking lid. The infrared system keeps it clean after use, so you don ’ t get to your vehicle dirty. The whole thing( stove and barbecue box) fits in the trunk of my car. I give it 100 stars!
