This putter is basically automatic. I also own a Spider Tour X that cost me an arm and a leg more than this Ping Scottsdale Anser 2D and I have to say it is a dead heat as to which one I like better. In hindsight, I would have saved the money for something else and just gone with the Ping. The insert on this is magical, and feel is off the charts. Basically, feels like a softer milled face putter, and the balance and weight is superior to the many other putters I have tried. As always, the design and materlals used by Ping are top notch-- shaft made in Japan( likely by Nippon or Fujikura), head is made in Vietnam, and it's all assembled in the good ole US of A. Ping designs and materials are unmatched. You get more than what you pay for! Who needs a$ 400+ putter when you can snag this at under$ 250?!

Like any putter, you really need to find something that works for you. This works well for me because I swing it allowing its inherent geometry and centering capabilities to work. All I can say is it works for my swing and it eliminated the right push I struggled with. Will it work for you? I do n't know. Try it. It keeps the line for me.

Simply put, this is the best putter I ’ ve ever used. I was using a PLD Anser 2 before this and tried some PXG zero torque putters, but I found this to be the best of both worlds. Looking down on the putter head inspires great confidence- it ’s sleek but easy to line up and keep aligned. The putter feels very stable while also feeling light weight- I attribute this to the materials and build quality. It ’s lighter than my Anser, but so much more forgiving. The speed control was also on par with the Anser- where I couldn ’ t dial it in with my PXG Allan. If you like playing blades and want something forgiving- look no further than the link.

I did n't want this putter. In fact i wanted the Jail Bird, a Spider or something else. I could n't believe the feel and roll this putter has. I decided to make the purchase for the double wide just because of how well it performs, i do n't care for the look or blade putters. I played 18 at a very challenging course that i 've never played( Ohio State Scarlet) and shot my lowest score in 20 years. The head is a little heavier than I 'm used to, but the extra weight seemed to get putts to the hole. It helped my yips. The stock grip is slicker and narrower than I 'd like; I prefer a jumbo with graininess and pronounced edges. My first day out, I had 33 putts, including 4 1- putts including a 20 ft birdie, and only one 3- putt. I like the simple pro tour alignment stripe and the dark color. The ball rolls easily off the face, and I do n't think I missed any under 5 ft. It's staying in the bag.

I have played many putters designed by Guerin Rife over the years. This is another excellent design of his. Aesthetics are clean, and the putter sets up very nicely. I am definitely making more putts, playing partners have confirmed. My only reason for the 4 stars is the feel is lacking. The insert does not have the same feel as the more traditional milled putters. If they can do that in future generations, it would be a 6/5 stars!

The newly restored version of the great Wilson 8802 is just as outstanding and even better than its namesake original. It is perfectly balanced, has just the right amount of loft, has a milled face for a more precision roll, has outstanding feel and most importantly is designed for releasing the club head, allowing for a true topspin roll that starts on line and stays online all the way to the hole. The stock narrow grip also promotes the low hand release, that combined with the narrow mass on the putter head promotes putts to come at the hole on the high side, and not the dreaded low side. So many of the big grip, big head putters promote a pop stroke that can lead to cutting the ball with a less than true roll, especially on short and left to right putts, but the 8802 brings back images of Crenshaw and Faxon really letting the putter head release, and clearly so much of that had to do with the design concepts of the putter that these great players understood, and helped make them great Champions too.

Love this putter! I do not have the Gravity grip, just the standard. But the standard grip feels real nice. The club feels well balanced in my hands, and it definitely feels heavier than my Ping Anser 2 or Odyssey blade putters. The alignment marks help me out, one of the main reasons I bought a mallet style putter. I played one round with it so far and made some very nice putts but as another posted I did come up short on a couple also. They were perfectly aligned putts and would have gone in if they had traveled just a little more. But, they were dead on to the pin, so hopefully I can fix this.

Have an older version of the micro- hinge. Face rolls and feels amazing. Sharp clean looks. Once you get used to feel you wo n't go back to any putter.

I buy, sell and trade putters all the time. I own over 30 putters. For me personally, this is the best feeling and most satisfying one out of them all. I have Camerons, Pings amd Mizunos. This putter is right there with them and maybe even a touch better. I ’ ve tried all the newest Microhinge putters. The 1 and the double wide feel like butter. Soft and smooth, yet it comes off the face with a nice springy feeling and great feedback. I roll the ball super smoothly and it ’s relatively effortless. Gets the ball to the cup easily. I can ’ t say enough great things about this putter. Great value price

I have tried all of the Scottie's on the rack at Golf Galaxy. The ability to align this 3. 2 makes it my favorite by far. Since i have been playing with this putter i have dropped close to 1 stroke off my handicap. It's just super easy to get lined up and the feel off the face is the best I have ever played.
