[ I haven ’ t had this long, so I can ’ t speak to the long- term durability yet. Although, it seems more durable that my last Mammut MIPS helmet because there ’s more plastic covering the foam. I loved the looks of the Mammut helmet, but for the price it was not durable enough( it broke shoving into my pack). This helmet is equally if not more attractive. Overall, I really like this helmet. First of all, I only considered MIPS helmets due to previous personal injuries. In the climbing industry, so far, there's only a few of them as I write this: this one, Smith, and two Black Diamond ones. The Black Diamond Capitan was too heavy for me, and the other Black Diamond was a contender, but in the end, the sizing was off, and even the largest size did n't fit my head well. This Wall Rider MIPS helmet is lightweight, comfortable, and so far, it has been durable. I 've used it on 10+ trips over the course of a year, and it has n't shown wear- and- tear, although the white top has gotten scratches( cosmetic) and is no longer pure white. The only downsides I would say are that the chin strap took me a while to dial down the sizing to where I wanted it( the strap barely covers my ears) and that the helmet sometimes covers part of my eyes if I look down too much, not staying in place. That is annoying when I 'm climbing, and sometimes I have to readjust the helmet by pushing it backwards so that it does n't cover part of my top eyesight.

I wore the cheapest BD helmet for years before finally choosing to upgrade. I have pretty slick hair, so I needed a helmet to stay in place. The strap system in this helmet does just that. The lightweight foam body made wearing this very comfortable on long days. I can also attest after whipping upside down that my noggin is safe and was cushioned well.

I really wanted a helmet with MIPS, and liked the look and comfort of this helmet( sleeker than the original Isode), but simply could n't make it fit. The straps are sewn at a fixed point where they meet under the ear, rather than having an adjustable clip as most other helmets do. When the chin clip was adjusted to the correct length, the front strap came down an inch in front of my ears, and the `` Y joint '' was at my jaw rather than under my ears. The strap system pulls through the back, so all Giro needed to do was add a clip under the ear on the right side. The straps are softer than on cheaper models, adding to the comfort factor. If only it could be made to fit.

The best helmet is the one you don ’ t know you ’ re wearing. I previously had an old petzl hard shell helmet and while comfortable, you knew you were wearing a helmet. We ’ ll see how this holds up long term, but after most of an ice climbing season, it ’s still pristine.

I 've used this solely for outdoor rock climbing so far. It's been amazing. The helmet is extremely breathable. It manages to stay on your head while your shifting it around, due to the highly adjustable fit. Numerous people have used it, and its been well liked due the the adjustability. I have used it in cold and rainy weather, and it fits seamlessly into my Mammut Eiger Extreme shell. Overall a great helmet for getting into climbing.

I 've purchased many helmets for climbing/scrambling, and this is by far my favorite. It is lightweight enough that I barely notice it on my head or attached to my pack, it's extremely comfortable, and it fits over a hat if I want to wear one. I also like the low- fuss adjustments of the soft nylon straps in the back, which other helmets that I 've tried often make out of hard plastic, which can be uncomfortable. It fits snug, and though I( thankfully) have n't had to test its performance in a fall/during rockfall, I have no doubt it will do its job. I was a little worried about the durability of the exposed foam, but after carrying it through a heavy hailstorm and generally banging it around in the back of the car or on whatever summit I take it off on, I ca n't spot a single dent.

It's light, fits and breathes well, even on the hottest of days, while being fully adjustable to fit with or without a skull cap. I 've used this solely for outdoor rock climbing so far. It's been amazing. The helmet is extremely breathable. It manages to stay on your head while your shifting it around, due to the highly adjustable fit. Numerous people have used it, and its been well liked due the the adjustability. I have used it in cold and rainy weather, and it fits seamlessly into my Mammut Eiger Extreme shell. Overall a great helmet for getting into climbing.

I 've purchased many helmets for climbing/scrambling, and this is by far my favorite. It is lightweight enough that I barely notice it on my head or attached to my pack, it's extremely comfortable, and it fits over a hat if I want to wear one. I also like the low- fuss adjustments of the soft nylon straps in the back, which other helmets that I 've tried often make out of hard plastic, which can be uncomfortable. It fits snug, and though I( thankfully) have n't had to test its performance in a fall/during rockfall, I have no doubt it will do its job. I was a little worried about the durability of the exposed foam, but after carrying it through a heavy hailstorm and generally banging it around in the back of the car or on whatever summit I take it off on, I ca n't spot a single dent.

Provides excellent protection, especially at its price point, however it does n't breathe at all and can be uncomfortable against the forehead. The clips hold a headlamp in place very well and I have n't had a problem with anything shifting. It fits well and stays secure in everything I 've put it through.

My husband and I did not wear helmets. As my husband started riding more mountain and off road i purchased him a bell 4forty for his off road adventures. He generally only wears it in the woods and even then not all the time( which is fine by me). He says it fits nice and is comfortable and feels very substantial and he is often glad he has it. A few weeks ago I decided to go on a leisurely ride solo. As I was loading my bike I decided to borrow my husbands helmet for the ride since i was headed into town. I tried it on and got it adjusted it was very easy to adjust and comfortable although heavier than my ball cap. During the ride It was so snug and airy i kept forgetting it was on. I did feel Safe And rode more naturally. I always assumed helmets were clumsy and bulky and poor fitting. However I am now considering my own helmet as a little extra protection could never hurt
