So far this is a great harness, bigger and better than the Big Gun. Hanging in it for several hours at a time it ’s more comfortable than the previous BD big wall harness. I like that it does not have double stacked gear loops, making gear access easier. The addition of ice clipper slots is a nice addition, and makes convenient storage for awkward items. The modern speed buckle is a mixed bag for my use, but overall a positive change. I use this for bolt replacement work, and think it ’s great! Lots of hanging with lots of tools and faff, and this harness is a step up from other harnesses I ’ ve used.

This is a great ultralight harness& super versatile and comfortable( for what it is). Excellent functionality and some of the best racking on this type of harness. Super light and compact too. I prefer this to the Petzl Fly. That said- the sizing is off. I 'm a 32 '' waist and based on Mammut's sizing chart I should be a comfortable medium. In reality I barley squeeze into the medium's hip belt. I have thick legs and the legs are fine though. Overall, I 'd highly recommend this harness, with the caviot that folks should try it on in- store. Hopeful that Mammut can address the sizing issue, but likely plan to size up on this harness. Would be 5 stars, but for the sizing issue.

I bought this for hiking with my jack russel/rat terrier mix. He has an odd shaped body( long body with short legs) which makes it hard to find harnesses that fit him without rubbing in the armpits. This harness is very adjustable and fits really well. He ca n't get out of it when rolling around which has been an issue with other harnesses we 've tried. I bought this harness because I wanted a low weight, compact harness for mountain guiding and glacier travel. It worked perfectly and was super comfortable to wear while traversing the glacier even with my backpack on. Also, in general it is a really comfortable harness to wear for top rope and gym lead. I have n't used it for sport or trad yet, but I 'll update when I have.

I originally got this harness for ice climbing as it has 6 different ice tool clipper spots( on both sides, 12 total) of the waist. This allowed me to put my ice tool clippers exactly where I wanted them versus where they have to be on other harnesses. It is very lightweight with functional gear loops. I recently took it alpine climbing and it felt awesome having it on all day, even through the more scrambly areas of the climb. Would highly recommend especially for women that have a bigger chest or hips and need to put ice tool clippers in specific spots in order to see them. I have a Large which works great with winter layers but I could have also fit a medium. I am 5' 6 '' and 170 lbs.

Somehow this harness has less padding and is lighter weight than the Ophir slide or the black diamond momentum harness, but is actually more comfortable when sitting in it for a long time. I 'd highly recommend if you have a bit more money to throw in for a harness that you want to be lightweight and still comfy. Fits true to size.

Amazin harness which is surprisingly comfortable and does not consume any space in the backpack. I am using it for trad climbing. I climb with 14 cams, 12 slings, and three sets of nuts/tricams. I also carry cordlette, belay device and bunch of lockers. All these can be comfortably clipped to the harness. The front gear loops are bigger and the gear is easy to unclip/clip. I use the front gear loops for cams and draws. The rear loops I use for nuts, lockers and belay devices. The harness has also a small gear loop at the rear in the middle. I use this for the nut tool and sometimes the radio. The harness feels good on my body and I do n't even feel it while climbing. The only little thing I found is the seem in front without any padding pushing against my bones. I did not experience it with my previous harness ocun Ego. Anyway, it is not too annoying and I might get used to it very soon.

It is much lighter weight, so I think it keeps her cooler, and when she jumps in creeks during her walks, it dries off much faster. It still feels like a solid harness, though the front range feels a bit more durable. I would definitely recommend if you 're looking for something lighter!

The leg loops are comfy for hanging and the waist is padded but light enough that sometimes I forget I am wearing it! Went outdoor climbing with it and it held 14 draws, PAS, quad anchor, and some extra carabiners and did not feel too loaded up. Definitely worth getting, and I wish I had gotten it sooner!

This is my favorite harness that I ’ ve ever owned. The reason why is because it ’s so light and compact, I never question whether or not I want to have a harness with me. I just toss it in the pack, and it disappears. When I need it, I ’ ve got it. I love how it can disappear under the hipbelt of a pack. Something that frequently irritates me with other harnesses while climbing and skiing. The packbelt, and harness are fighting for the same space and the pack ends up losing and riding up on my torso. When I ’ m not wearing a pack with a big belt, this harness has nice, but minimal gear loops that can hold my crevasse rescue, rappel, and other climbing gear( as long as I keep it to a minimum or rack in trees off of my carabiners.) For anyone who is considering purchasing this harness but is concerned that it may be too specialized, I would suggest that it ’s much more versatile than you might initially think. I ’ ve used the Choucas Light for alpine routes, rappels while skiing, ice climbing, summer scrambles that get a little too technical, self- evacuation from chairlifts while ski patrolling, and even glacier travel( which was probably its original intent).

1st PFD. The Fisherman has more adjustment straps to get a snug fit and the is more comfortable than the other comparable PFDs I tried on. The rigidity of the 2 front zippered pockets is also a plus, IMO, over the other comparable PFDs because they act as trays to set gear on when making fishing setup adjustemnts. However, some of the other comparable PFDs seem to have more gear storage options/pockets than the Fisherman but comfort and adjustment was more important to me than gear storage volume. Plus, more gear in and on the PDF equals more weight which may not be a good thing in an emergency situation whilst on a lake or river.

[ Airhead makes a great quality product. We just got this tow rope and it ’s great. We have jet skis and pull tubes with them. This tow rope works well and is very strong. It whips the tubes around perfectly while maintaining a nice even pull. We have other ropes from them as well and they have lasted for 3 years already with no sign of stopping soon.

[ Once you use this harness you will not want to get a different one. This tow harness centers fantastic while pulling my son on his tube behind our small boat. [ We live in South Florida, so boating is part of life. We 've used this tow harness for just about everything already. It has excellent strength and never shows signs of stress. The 12ft length is just enough to get all the possible uses out of it. We 'll be looking to buy another heavy- duty Airhead tow rope with some extra length next time around. I bought the GlassPak the same time i bough my Vortex Daimondbacks. I do a lot of walking in the woods and could not be happier with the GlassPak. It keeps my binos tight to my chest and keeps them out of the way when drawing my bow. I would recommend these these to anyone who does a lot of walking while carrying bino's!

I have used this product hunting deer, and turkey as well as scouting for waterfowl. I have been more than happy with it. the only complaint that I have( and it is a minor one) is that the lid closes and you can not leave it open for quick access to optics. I realize that it was designed this way to help protect the binos inside. I also work as a biologist and have used this in the spring while surveying for breeding birds and searching for turtles. It always protects my gear and it even has a storage spot for extra batteries for my GPS or a spare pencil. I could not be happier.

Compared to other dual sling racks, this starts as a chest harness and adds storage capacity. The front tie point is bomber. The dual adjustment straps on either side of the tie point work very well. The only downside I see is if you were to remove the harness while racked( say, at a belay and swapping leads) it will be tough to get out of since you slide this harness over your head. It would be nice to have an opening up front to ease this move or else plan on reracking on another harness/sling for a lead swap.

How people rack their gear is a very personal thing. That said, if you are going to rack with a shoulder sling this is definitely a great one to choose. It distributes weight evenly around you torso and allows you to easily organize the gear so it is accessible. Thanks BD for a great product.

I needed a new chest harness for Single Rope Technique in vertical caving. I was looking at more traditional chest harnesses for SRT, but when I saw this one from Black Diamond, the additional gear attachments points and ease of adjustability drew my attention. I was skeptical to give it a shot, but decided to try it. I am happy to say this is my new favorite chest harness!! Super comfortable and adjustable. Love the added gear loops for radios, etc. Having a more secure and convenient radio attachment point will hopefully prevent radio# 3 from taking a 125+ plunge down a pit.
