I let my son swing whatever he wanted in his size and this is what he picked after hitting balls in the cage at Dicks. Not even fully broken in yet and he hit his first double in semi champ game. The light weight of the bat really allows smaller kids to drive that barrel, speed is an appropriate name. Not gon na lie though, nothing beats the sound of crushing one with an aluminum bat, so I ’ ll ask him to use his catx every once in awhile too lol

Although this bat is an ounce heavier than his previous bat, my son said it felt like it was lighter with the same pop-- hence the balance. My son is a gap to gap hitter so a balanced bat like this is better for him than a more end- loaded bat. My son plays 10u rec little league, and we 've gone through a ton of bats over the years trying to find the one he like the best. The PWR Select is his favorite bat he has swung. He has chosen this bat over the Rawlings icon 2024( that was his favorite), The Dirty South Made, and the Cat X2. The ball seems to come off this bat a little bit hotter than it did with the others even after breaking them in. It took a little bit for him to adjust to the weight, but he is able to barrel this bat up better than others he has played with. We did modify it with a flared bat taper.
