The non slip base, the straw that locks into place( no clanking straw when I get a drink in the middle of the night), the easy on/off of the lid( and I ’ ve had trouble getting lids off other brands), and the leak proof lid option. The cup does hols cold water for a long period of time. The cup can be used with or without the straw. when the cup is filled with ice and your drink of choice, it does get a little heavy to hold. There is no handle.
