I 'm an archaeologist and just got back from a month in the field in rural southern Ethiopia. This bag was flown, tied to 4x4 trucks, and secured to a donkey for the last( and then first) leg of the trip and everything inside was safe, sound and fresh throughout. Tough bag. [ I really like these dry bags. I use them for canoe tripping and the oval shape fits perfectly in a portage pack and leaves less wasted space in the pack. Also, the lash loops make it easier to remove from the pack and while I have n't used it, the attachment points for a shoulder strap could be really useful for day trips. The construction is top- notch. I 've used dozens of other dry bags and these seem to be tougher than all others I 've used. The material is strong and puncture- resistant while not being thick and heavy. I have been paddling and using dry bags for over 30 years and also worked in the outdoor retail industry. As far as I know, these are the best dry bags on the market.

We originally were considering Gecko's drawstring style dry bag, but decided this bag looked like better quality level for our needs. This bag was exactly what we needed. We took it on a river float trip, and it was perfect. The lower half was submerged for nearly the entire 3 hours and everything stayed dry. It held our sunscreen, t- shirts, hats, keys, etc with plenty of room. We did put phones and keys in ziplocks just in case, since it was our first time using it and wanted to make sure we were closing it correctly. The strap made carrying and tying down to the tube easy. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing is to make sure you roll down the top enough to ensure a good seal. It says on the bag to roll `` at least 3 times '' but I would recommend rolling basically until you reach the top of your contents.

If your limited with space on your bike these are a game changer along with figuring out what can pack down in a regular stuff sack vs what should be compression bag My only gripe isn ’ t a big deal But the clips are a pain to flip around if they get twisted, it doesn ’ t effect the function AT ALL the bag still works as intended if the straps twisted it just bugs me and I have to use pliers to flip it around, again not a big deal just a minor thing

A perfect complement to my Burley Coho XC trailer. It ’s a nice fit into the trailer with a little bit of room on the edges. If you want to talk, some other goodies in the rolltop works well, but the clips on the side may not be in the best position. Otherwise, a great light weight bag to keep my gear dry on weekend trips to the Cape and Islands in northern Vermont. Nice being able to get on a ferry with a trailer and not need a car reservation and be able to carry everything you need rain or shine.
