Great 'little' bag. The 8l actually does n't fill a spot in my kit, but these are great waterproof bags. I really like the muted gray color and the white inside to make it easier to see items inside. Good size for spare clothes on a summer trip. Light and durable!

5 Matt
This bag is perfect for backpacking and hiking. This bag kept down clothing perfectly dry on a week long trek where it rained nonstop. The tab on the bottom of the bag is really helpful for hanging the bag off of my backpack. I highly recommend this bag.

5 Michelle S.
I have used the 8 liter bag for both backpacking and front country travel, it's great for both! I think the thickness of this bag is the perfect intersection of durable and light- good for a food bag while camping or a dirty laundry bag while traveling. I have never had a S2S buckle break on me, but it's cool that it comes with a field replaceable buckle. I 'm not totally sure what the benefit of the hang tab on the bottom of the bag is for, but I 'm sure there is a reason for it.

5 Alex C.
I use these lightweight dry bags on many caving expeditions. They are fantastic in that they hold up well and weigh almost nothing. The addition of the field repairable buckles has also really secured these as some of the best dry bags on the market. I would still prefer the seal design to be changed into more of an envelope style to ensure an even greater seal at the top but beyond that I really recommend these as long as you can put them in the secondary containment like a backpack.

I took this bag out on a 15 mile trek with new people to hiking. I showed them the importance of a good quality dry bag, as it started to rain! This is a great product for just about any sport that involves any sort of water. This spends most of the winter on my snowmobile keeping backup layers dry, and has held up really well. These ca n't get wet extra layers are essential in the backcountry, but I never have to worry about that with this bag. In the summer this transitions onto my bike and can take the wear and tear of being strapped on externally. I had an older version of these bags, but the new one is easier to use and more streamlined. The compression feature is well worth the( minimal) additional weight as it takes up way less space and gives you more options to strap the bags onto other things.

5 Scott M.
13L is the perfect size for my 20 degree down sleeping bag. It ’s critical to keep down dry and having the compression straps turn a full size down bag into the size of a small basketball which frees up lots of space in my backpack for other items. I have an older version of this bag that still works well but the new quick release buckles on this model make it easier to use. Note that you do need to be patient for the eVent to work. It ’s a dry bag so water can ’ t get in but air can escape with compression out of the eVent fabric. Pro tip: roll the top closed once and add pressure to get out a lot of the air, then add two more rolls and clip closed. Pull the bottom over the top and using constant pressure keep cinching the straps alternating sides for and even compression. Another quality piece of gear by Sea to Summit. Two thumbs up.

5 Mark M.
I 've been using compression dry bags for roughly 20 years and sea to summit has one of the best products available. Their dry bags are durable, effective, and reliable. If moisture is a factor, I will always bring this dry bag.

I have been using the EVX 13 L dry bag when paddling, climbing, camping and bikepacking. This bag is amazing! It is light, tough and above all keeps the weather out. I took this out on a multi- day bikepacking trip which turned into a multi- day snow and rain event. I stored my down jacket and other `` need to stay dry so you do n't cry '' items in it( down jacket/pants). Everything stayed perfectly dry. The compression straps allow me to get my gear into small areas in my bike bags without compromising the integrity of my gear. The compression straps worked super smooth, no twisting or locking up. I travel to remote locations, most of the time solo( unless guiding). I need to know that I can count on my gear to keep me in the backcountry as long as I want and not have to leave due to equipment failure or poor design. The EVAC bag is amazing. I am going to purchase more and I highly recommend it to anyone that spends time exploring, or traveling in areas you know the weather will test and punish the your gear.

Took this out on a 5- day rafting trip on the Owyhee River in Oregon. Everything stayed dry! Bomber construction, great texture on the material and more flexible than other, more plasticy- type dry bags. The extra lash- points and durable bottom fabric are great features as well.

[ I ’ ve been using the big river bag for my motorcycle touring now for 5 years and they hold up to the weather and the rough use I put these through. Now with this updated bag with the additional loops on its sides. This is a PERFECT bag with much more possibilities to attach anywhere on the motorcycle. Very happy with the bag and is my go to bag for packing. I have the 3/8/13/20/35 and the 65 liter river bags. YES, they are that good! Use these for motorcycle tours and kayaking.

I ’ ve used several of sea to summits lightweight dry bags in the past. The lightweight bags are great for application where abrasion is minimized but a susceptible to getting small holes in rough environment or after heavy use. The big river bag is the perfect heavier duty compliment to the lightweight dry bag for applications like kayaking, bikepacking and other adventures where you need to keep items out of the elements but where abrasion can ’ t be entirely avoided. I ’ ve used the 13L size in a few of my whitewater kayaks including my half slice and it a great size to slide behind the seat. Never had a drop of water get in. I like the 13L size, it could easily fit a sleeping bag and a light layer in it. Have yet to get it out on a bike packing mission but expect the lash points will be nice to have. The picante red color is awesome. Looking forward to taking it on more adventures.

I bought a kayak this past summer and was looking for a way to safely store items while paddling. This dry bag did the trick. Though not very big( which I knew because it is only a 5L capacity) it does a great job of keeping items dry and safe, while the included shoulder strap and clip allow me to secure it from falling out. I will probably be making an additional purchase of one of their larger 10L or 20L sizes in the future.

I have used a lot of different shapes and sizes of the Bill's Bag over the years. The 65 is my favorite size for summer time, inflatable kayaking, or going light on the cat boat. I have had some failure with the plastic buckles in the past, mostly human error by smashing them in the frame or tail gate by accident. I was excited to use the new metal fastening system. They worked really well, except in the cold weather with cold hands. It is a little harder to fit the metal hook through the webbing. I see it as a trade off for a super secure system. The material is also super solid and dry.

[ Bought this 1 month ago just before a 3 week adventure/photography trip, Island hopping in the Philippines during rainy season. This was my only bag besides the gear bags. Extreme heat, rain, sand, 3 typhoons, waves, everything extreme. It held up perfectly, kept my essentials secure and dry. It is also carry on size and lockable for international travel. All the carrying positions are well thought out, as I used them all in different scenarios. I will also be using this bag strapped down on the back of my motorcycle. Outstanding bag that will always be in my portfolio of travel!

I 'm an archaeologist and just got back from a month in the field in rural southern Ethiopia. This bag was flown, tied to 4x4 trucks, and secured to a donkey for the last( and then first) leg of the trip and everything inside was safe, sound and fresh throughout. Tough bag. Love the reasonable size, simple easy- to- grab and heft handles, and waterproof protections. I 'm impressed.

We use this duffel for our clothes and items so that we can pack up and throw the duffel right in the truck bed. If it rains we do n't have anything to worry about. When the bag is zipped completely up it seals and could be used as a float. We 're impressed with it and look forward to many great years with this awesome new product!

5 NYupstater
I bought this bag for my son as a bday gift. He absolutely loves it and says it's outstanding. As for the waterproof part he threw it in a pool to test it out and it floated!! So needless to say you be the judge.... but in my opinion it ca n't get any better than that. Overall quality of the bag is great.... durable and plenty of room to pack all your gear.

Loaded with ~45 lbs, it flew from the SF Bay Area to SLC and was driven 6+ hours to Jackson Hole. Inspection of two camera tripods and boxed mounting equipment passed without any issues. The heavy zipper performed without a problem. I did not spot any travel damage on the duffel

I 've only had the Panga 100 bag for a couple weeks, however I was able to use the other Panga bags( 50 and 75) on a moose hunt in northern British Columbia and they were worth their weight in gold! We were always battling wet conditions and needed to keep our clothing and sleeping bags from getting damp. I also used the Panga 50 to keep my camera gear safe and sound as well! A great zipper and the heavy duty straps made it easy to load and unload the bags as we traveled by raft down river!

[ I 've only had the bag for a few weeks, I got it for motorcycle camping trips, international travel, etc. The loops for securing the bag are great, I can easily fasten the bag to my motorcycle. It is super light weight and flexible but still seems sturdy/well made. Backpack/duffel bag strap conversion is easy and convenient. Overall great purchase so far.

5 Mark T.
[ I purchased the green duffel and it ’s a great looking color. 65L is a good size bag for a week of clothing. The bag is a little thin( I think I expected it to be thicker because it is waterproof), but otherwise should keep water out no problem based on the material used( haven ’ t had to test that yet). Love the external pocket though for anything you need to quickly access outside your bag. Also, to note, the straps aren ’ t detachable.

I took this bag out on a 15 mile trek with new people to hiking. I showed them the importance of a good quality dry bag, as it started to rain! They watched me stuff the next days breakfast along with some personal items in the Evac bag. Worked well keeping the items inside dry. We had no issues. A couple asked me where to go to get one and I said Sea to Summit.

Be it attempting to make a connecting flight across an airport, having luggage tossed out of a float plane onto a dock in Nowheresville, or traveling in the back of a pickup in a snow storm for 6 hours... the Panga does n't require mollycoddling, special attention, or preferential treatment. I do not have to worry about a skiff of snow or a cloud burst with the Panga. This bag holds up to some of the most aggressive baggage handlers on three continents... with barely a scuff. This is the ultimate travel bag I have been looking for for 45 years. It is robust, it is right- sized, it travels easy, it protects the contents, and it does n't shout `` Hey, over here, steal me! Bought the Panga 75 for my work and flyfishing travel adventures. This thing rocks! Fit a few days worth of clothes, and all of my fly gear on a recent weekend trip to Aruba. 9 wt 4 piece tube fit well in the bag. When my flight was delayed, I had to hop in a cab from the airport to the marina, and out to the flats. The Panga kept everything dry, including my iPad and electronics. The 75 fit in the overhead no problem on an AA Airbus 319. It ’s currently packed for NYC and a weekend with the wife for previews of Escape to Margaritaville. It ’s going to snow, but I know all my stuff will be dry in the Panga! 2 Fins up for the Panga 75!

5 crjones10
Bought it for all around outdoor use, snowboard trips in particular. Did exactly what I wanted it to do. Held all of my gear with no trouble and it all stayed dry. Only problem is in cases it will be too large, so now I must purchase a 50.

I bought this product a few weeks ago for a recent trip to the Hatfield McCoy trail. I strapped this bag to the front of my atv and rode for 3 days. The bag held up great, kept everything nice dry.

I bought this for my boyfriend, who became completely obsessed with the idea of a truly waterproof bag. He loves it; before even using the waterlock balm provided on the zipper, you can tell that the bag is truly water- tight. The materials are very high quality; we have n't had it for long but you can tell it 'll last years( at least). Very happy with the purchase; definitely worth buying.

Great bag. Good quality. Works well. I use it for kayaking and everything in it stays dry. Only complaint is that for the amount of money you pay, the seams could be cut and put together a lot cleaner. Mine has been 100% waterproof I would just like a little more eye appeal since it's very expensive. Worth the money otherwise. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

5 Andrea J.
[ This is n't my first Sea to Summit compression sack. They are durable and well- made and just do n't seem to tear or fail. You can really pack a sleeping bag into it. And even though it's not water proof, it does seem to repel water.

5 Jason R.
[ I use it for a 10 deg hammock under quilt as mine only came with a stuff sack. Works well and is lightweight making it easier to keep things in my bag organized and where I want them in my bag. I 've only used it 3 times so far but i do n't see any issues of wear and tear for many years as i do n't usually beat up a compression sack. I do n't store my quilt in it when it's not being used, I just hang it on the hanger with the quilt.

Frequently Asked Questions For Waterproof Scuba Bags

When selecting a waterproof scuba bag, consider features such as material durability, waterproof ratings, and closure types. Look for bags made from high-quality, water-resistant materials that can withstand harsh marine environments. Additionally, features like adjustable straps, multiple compartments, and reinforced seams can enhance functionality and ease of use.

Choosing the right size for a waterproof scuba bag depends on the amount of gear you plan to carry. Consider the volume of your equipment, including wetsuits, fins, and other essentials, and select a bag that offers ample space without being overly bulky. It's also helpful to think about how you will transport the bag and whether you need a compact option for day trips or a larger one for extended excursions.

Waterproof scuba bags typically feature closures such as roll-top, zippered, or magnetic seals. Roll-top closures provide a secure seal and are easy to use, while zippered options offer quick access to your gear. Magnetic closures can also be effective, but ensure they are designed for water resistance to keep your belongings safe from moisture.

Yes, waterproof scuba bags are versatile and can be used for various outdoor activities beyond scuba diving. They are ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, or beach outings, where protecting your gear from water is essential. Their durable construction and waterproof features make them a reliable choice for any adventure involving water exposure.

To maintain the effectiveness of your waterproof scuba bag, store it in a cool, dry place when not in use and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. Regularly check for any signs of wear or damage, especially around seams and closures, and clean it according to the manufacturer's recommendations to prevent mildew and odors. Proper care will help extend the lifespan of your bag and ensure it continues to protect your gear.
