After using both versions, I prefer the finesse shroomz jig head. I find that it's easier to rig with elaztech than this model and gets hung up less on brush etc. That being said, if the finesse size is out of stock but this one is available, I will buy again. It is a stronger hook and would see that being beneficial fighting bigger bass.

The pics here are not correct. This is the pro bulletz in the pics. The finesse bullets do not have the big bulbous weight. But, these are great jig heads for fishing in weedy areas. I put a Z- Man Trick Shots Bad Shad on a 1/6 ounce size, and was slaying the bass at a local pond. Hooks are sharp, and the rig was able to get through most weeds easily. Only got hung up in some really heavy grasses a couple of times, but I was able to get out without losing, or even damaging, any tackle.

My first cast with it today I caught a 2 pound bass, which is big for the pond I fished at. Get the Cajun Crawfish color, with a Yum Crawbug in the crawfish color. The paint does n't chip, the weed guard works, the skirt stays on, overall, a great little bass jig. Planning on buying more.

I have about 20 of these jigs. Where I fish, I lose jigs a lot. This is my best, most affordable option. It also happens to catch fish better for me than bigger jigs. I am totally addicted to these mini- jigs. Sometimes the line- tie is filled with paint, and the paint chips. I have yet to find a jig( at least a mini- jig) that does n't have the `` filled line- tie hole '' issue sometimes, and the chipped paint is n't a huge issue.

I have used this jig on Lewis Smith Lake in Alabama, a very deep and extremely clear lake for both spotted and largemouth bass with excellent results. I usually target mainly spotted bass but have caught largemouth as well. My largest 'spot' to date with this lure is 4 lbs, with 2- 3 pounders on a regular basis.

The Strike Bitsy Flip has a much better hook than the Bitsy bug but maintains the same smaller profile that is so effective on the pressured bas in our area. This bait is a staple with bass fishermen in our club and our area. However, I have used the Bitsy flip on Ontario smallmouth bass, Lake Erie largemouth bass, Muskingum River spotted bass, and all three species of bass in Tennessee's Cumberland River. I like D. O. A. jigs because they are the highest quality of any others I see on the store rack. First, the hooks and barbs are precision ground; they are super sharp, hold well and the smaller barbs are more easily removed from a fish jaw than most other jigs. Second, the D. O. A. jig neck barbs hold plastic baits on the jig neck consistently with no slippage. Third, the jig molding and paint makes for a consistent finish, plus the painted eyes are prominent and I think add to their effectiveness. If you chuck bait then the scent and chum effect of the bait probably overcomes a variety of jig deficiencies. But if you fish plastic, I think the D. O. A. jigs will give you the best plastic bait action for only pennies more. BTW, I use scent on my plastic shrimp and jerkbaits and find I get a monumental increase in strikes in the first 15- 20 minutes after application.
