Love the smaller footprint. Fits better in narrow cargo spaces. Example is the back of a Honda Odyssey…yes, I ’ m a dad with kids and dogs and one day I ’ ll have a rad car again, but until then I ’ ll settle on having a rad Yeti. But reality is, this fits perfectly behind the third row in the trunk space. Adds a nice spot for the kid to sit when the trunk is open as well. It is heavy on its own, must have a minimum of 3 years dad strength to lift this thing when full. Kids love it, it ’s a sticker magnet for them( and me). Dogs love it, it ’s a source of fresh ice cubes and jerky. Wife loves it, because it allows us to go do more things as a family outsider together. Having the right tool for the job makes the job easier. With a larger Yeti, we can be outside more exploring and camping together. That ’s the win.

Great product. We used it for ice storage on a recent Big Bend trip. I put 80 lbs of ice in it and would use it to refill the smaller ice chests each day for 4 days. Performed as I expected and worked for what I purchased it for.

Fantastic water source for camping. Kept water nice and cold for several days and provided an easy way to refill bottles and camelbaks with ice cold water for hikes. Keep in mind that 8 lbs of ice will take up 1 gallon of volume. If the water is room temperature when you put it in( like those 5 gallon containers you re- fill at the store) then you will need approximately 12 lbs of ice just to even get it cold( with all the ice now melted and none leftover). So I ’ d recommend pairing 24 lbs of ice with 3 gallons of room temperature water. That should leave you with roughly 4. 5 gallons of ice cold water and 12 lbs of ice to make sure it stays cold.

While the Silo is a great product. I sure wish they would offer them in colors like everything else. Reliable and effective like every other Yeti cooler. We take this to the beach and use it for margaritas. Love it! Easy to clean and stays cold all day, even when the margaritas don ’ t last that long.

Much improved from the old Igloo 72 qt I had for many years. Handles much sturdier, latch better and hinges better. And the cooler is lightweight. Fits in my small boat perfectly and has been christened with trout and redfish.

It ’s a lot lighter than I was expecting. The handles have a bendy rubber ribs on it that are comfy to carry. You can also pick it up without the handles. The latches are on/off pretty easy. Can ’ t speak to durability or longevity of ice because I haven ’ t had it that long. Seems to be good quality and made in the USA.
