[ The mix is good. There seems to be a few `` jugs '' and a few tough slopers. The slopers are very tough on a 40 degree wall, but would probably be nice on something less angled. The biggest jugs seem to always rotate a bit, no matter how tightened they are. It does n't stop them from being used, but always in the back of your mind as you climb. They rotate more than plastic holds, but definitely nicer on the hands/fingers.

After a weekend on the ice and two broken carbon sticks later, I was in a bind. I needed something quick, but I did n't have$ 400+ dollars for one or two new sticks. I found these Sher- Wood sticks online and thought I 'd give one a shot. I grew up playing with wooden sticks, mostly Sher- Wood, Titan and Koho models, and with the price of this stick it was an easy click to purchase. I will admit that at first I was worried about the weight and feel, but when I took this stick out of the box and taped it up, all the old warm and fuzzy feels of what made hockey great to me as a kid came rushing back. My fears about the weight were also quelled. Considering I 'm a full grown man now, these are n't nearly as heavy as I remember. And while they are obviously slightly heavier than a carbon stick, these bad boys are absolute TANKS in the corners and they catch passes with almost no effort. I loved it so much that I ordered 4 more, and honestly, I do n't think I 'll ever go back to carbon. These feel like a hockey stick should feel. I will also say that I took some chirps when I showed up the next weekend, and I 've earned the nickname `` 2 by 4 '' with the guys, but I 've also had 4 different teammates ask me where I got these. I think I may have started a hockey stick renaissance. Just saying.

Obviously this one is smaller, but Hults Bruk axes seem to be more readily available in the States. Quality is comparable and prices between similar models seem to be lower on average than GB axes. Unfortunately, I 've yet to use this hatchet, but so far I 'd give it a strong recommend to anyone interested in a high quality axe. A few additional notes: fit and finish are great. Good fit between the head and handle; no serious or worrisome gaps. The handle is smooth and has a comfortable shape. Edge comes sharp and is fairly even on both sides. Exactly what I 'd expect from something in this price range.

This is an excellent all around size for most uses. Small enough for camp chores but still decent sized to get some light felling done. Certainly not an ultralight item but well worth the weight. This came hair shaving sharp with a mirror finish. Handle grain structure was tight but orientation wasn ’ t quite what I like it to be, but reasonable for a mass produced axe. Overall you just can ’ t beat this axe.

I always hoped Buck would remake a high quality modern version of the 110 model. Well Benchmade beat them to it. The knife opens and closes butter smooth.
