Used as a top layer with layering( and heated vest, socks, and gloves all on lowest setting) during a 12( F) degree morning, never got cold and didn ’ t feel the wind. [ Bought this to replace a worn- out Venture jacket. This thing performs and has features that are beyond its value pricing like pit zips and more. I have traveled all over Alaska from Bethel to Nome to Barrow and Ketchikan with confidence that if it is pouring rain or even snowing, this jacket will keep me dry and( with fleece underneath) warm. It's easy to stuff in the bottom of a day pack or behind the seat of my pickup. I 've owned versions of this jacket for more than 20 years and have only been disappointed when it wears out.
