I have to say that the advice to go up a half size is accurate, and these are ridiculously comfortable straight out of the box. I ’ ve not used them on grass but the comfort, grip and ability to pivot in them is excellent on the range mat. Excellent for winter to cut the wind and retain heat. Had multiple deer come within 30 yds and jacket noise did not alert them. Used as a top layer with layering( and heated vest, socks, and gloves all on lowest setting) during a 12( F) degree morning, never got cold and didn ’ t feel the wind. It does not have pockets, which helps with retaining heat and one less thing to leak down the road, but I use a small pack to carry in. I do suggest breaking it in a bit. [ I bought this in black for my trip to Iceland and it was great! It was comfortable as a windbreaker and as a waterproof jacket. It ’s stylish and durable. Being 5 ft tall, I often get smalls but I went with a medium( even though the website recommended a large 🤨) so I could put other layers underneath it and it worked out because I could roll the sleeves up just fine. The hood is still big but I had another shirt with a hood underneath.
