A little background- back in July, I started on my weight loss journey. Even though I was going to the gym 2- 3 times a day and working full time, I would often use a reusable grocery bag to hold my gear. In September, I hit my goal of 25 pounds and treated myself to a new bag. I needed a bag that: 1. Did n't look like a gym bag. I did n't want a duffle look since I had to take this with me into work as well 2. Was big enough to actually fit clothes. Some days I would have two pairs of shoes, a swimming suit, towel, hoodie and regular clothes in addition to the gym clothes I was already wearing. 3. Had different compartments to hide my valuables. I put my wallet in my bag rather than bring a purse, so I needed a way to keep them safe as well. I did a lot of research, and I found this bag. The price was right, but it was online only. I had some concerns if it would be as big as I needed. Well, it turns out that it surpassed my expectations! This has been the best bag I could have asked for. It can handle all my needs and then some. I use the front pocket for toiletries, middle pocket for my wallet and the big pocket for my clothes/water bottle. My keys and phone go in a side pocket, and I 've had no issues. The best part is how easy it is to carry. I 've found with duffles or other bags that I would throw it on a shoulder that would then fall off. With this, I have no issues. It's so easy to adjust and throw on( or into the car). AND it does n't look super obvious at work that I 'm working out. So while there are a lot of reviews for this bag from student athletes, it gets a thumbs up from an adult gym rat too!

I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

I love how the laptop sleeve has a false bottom so when you place the laptop in the backpack it does n't accidentally knock the surface the backpack may be resting on. My son picked this out to carry his lacrosse gear. This is a great backpack with plenty of room. There ’s a separate, zippered compartment on the bottom for his cleats. Great bag. Great size. I bought this bag to replace another 40L bag I had for work and daily use. I was looking for a bag that had plenty of room in a main compartment, while also being able to hold a laptop and smaller items( pens, small tools, notepad). This bag fit the need great. I recently traveled across the country with it and it held up great. The straps and back panel make it comfortable to wear, the roll top makes throwing and grab large items easy, and it did well holding up to a light snow flurry while I was out( though I feel the material would struggle with a heavy soak). I got this duffel this spring, I needed a new dry bag. So far it's rafted on the Bruneau, Selway and Salmon with me. Everything in the bag has stayed dry but I also have not flipped. I love how easy it is to get into and then close. I also appreciate the two handles on the ends of the bag and the side webbing that looks good but gives me another attachment point. The backpack straps on the bag are super comfortable and let me carry my bag with ease over slippery rocks. In a future edition I think it would be nice if there was a small divider or separate compartment where damp things like dirty shoes could go. Right now a trash bag is working.

[ I am impressed with the quality of this bag. I love all the different pockets and sleeves for laptop, panned, water bottle, etc. I am using this for work and have no problem fitting my laptop and lunch bag all in this bag! Also, love the straps because they are thicker and don ’ t dig into your shoulder. I haven ’ t gotten it dirty yet but the fabric seems like it would be very easy to clean.

We own Thule luggage so I wanted to update my daily carry electronics bag to something more durable. Thule's bags can take an airport beating and still work great. I like the fabric and that it is water resistant. I like the pockets and the interior key holder. There is plenty of room to cart my work laptop and my personal laptop with all the wires necessary to run the dang things. I 'm a geek and they go everywhere with me. My wish list: I wish the interior was ANY color other than black so I can see what is inside of the bag easier even though I have 2 flashlights to solve that problem. I wish there were MORE pockets. Pockets, pockets and MORE pockets. Where is the water bottle holder?! It needs one or two. I honestly ca n't say I like the folding top but I 'm going to work with it and see if it grows on me.

My husband and I both have an Onix bag. I have the pink and he has the orange. I use mine as a gym bag and as a computer bag. It is also great to travel with. It has so much space. In fact when I travel via plane and have too many bags I am able to stuff my purse into this bag before the flight. My husband uses it as a gym bag. It has a compartment at the bottom for shoes. Long term bear can user ready to make the switch. Needed something for both bear and critter proof and this looks like it meets my needs. The quality looks good and knot info found on ursack site was helpful. I will send a follow- up review once I can actually test it out on this year's backpacking trips.

[ Holds a decent amount of food in the bag. Very durable. The rope that ties the bag shut is plenty long enough to secure the bag to the base of a tree in case there is n't a suitable place to hang it out of reach. Easy to pack.

[ I didn ’ t have an overnight camping trip scheduled to try the URSACK in the field, so I lent this to some friends who were camping in the PNW. They were impressed by how much lighter and easy to transport the URSACK was compared to their normal bear canister( and flexibility in stuffing it full and folding it when it emptied!), and reported that their foods and toiletries stayed safe and dry on their trip. They are now looking to get their own URSACK, and I ’ m excited to try it for myself on a camping trip later this summer.

[ This bag is extremely durable and heavy duty, definitely ca n't it it with a knife so I 100% believe it keeps critters out very well. It is slightly bigger than the size of a regular drawstring bag. Very lightweight bag that can fit 5 days worth of food for 1 person, depending on the size of the items you put inside you can maybe fit more. I was very excited to bring it with me while out on hiking/camping trips and it has worked very well.
