I 'm on a quest to see all of our National Parks and these were my first purchase. So far we have hiked in Shenandoah( rocky, damp, sometimes slippery) and in Death Valley( HOT! I use the 10 '' insulated for winter hiking and snowshoeing, the low for rocky terrain in warm weather, and have been running a set of Premium Mids for fall hiking. These things are incredibly well constructed, very supportive, totally waterproof, and super comfortable. With my current mids having put in a long service life, including plenty of winter wear, I was due for a new set. They 've made some thoughtful improvements to the tongue and lace hooks, but everything else that I love about the shoes remains intact. The factory insoles are great, but I do swap them out for a set of Superfeet as a personal preference. Despite a lack of insulation and good breathability, there is enough material and protection to make these a bit stifling in warm weather. The added benefit is that they are great during chilly hikes in late fall and make great everyday shoes for winter. As has been my experience with Oboz, I did bump up a half size and it fits perfectly.

A good place would be when I purchased these bad boys during my time working at Cabela's 4 years ago. Once I placed these glorious looking fiends on a display rack, I knew I had to have them. And boy am I glad I do. These have been my year- round daily boot, for literally all weathers in Colorado, and I wear them literally every day. The leather has worn in so amazingly, that I forget I 'm wearing them sometimes. I have worn the soles down to being almost flat, now, and have swapped out insoles for some Meindl ones, but man, insoles only do so much. I wear these hiking, Jeeping, running errands, going outside in general, these are what I want on my feet. I have worn these at several jobs, ranging from my mechanic work, to the tarmac as ground crew for an airline, and they are still solid, no tears, rips, anything!( there is some stuffing from the belly of the airplanes when I was stuck on my knees, but it does matter to me, they still look great!) I work in a warehouse and walk 10- 12 miles a day, 260 days a year. I have worn the Eagle Trail boots by Georgia Boot this past year. They have been amazing. Only now are the insides starting to fail at the heels. The outsole has worn evenly and still has lots of life left. I have been buying the breeze boot for about 20 years now. I would agree that the laces need to be a bit longer so you can double tie them. On zappos web site they advertise that the 7742 has gore tex lining and vibram soles, you might want to check on that one. Other than that the boots are really comfortable.

I bought these in December 2024. They ’ ve sat because I was stuck between the 9D and 9. 5D. I ordered both. I ’ m normally a 9. 5 in just about everything. Vans, Nikes, Thorogoods, you name it. The 9. 5s had a little bit of heel slip and plenty of toe room, and I was afraid of them feeling too comfortable straight out of the box and them stretching too much. Because that ’s honestly what they felt like at first. The 9ds felt tight. Very little heel slip, but doable, but ultimately tight… I decided to go with the pair that felt the most comfortable straight out of the box, the 9. 5s. Again, I was skeptical, but they turned out PERFECT. They are comfortable straight out of the box, and after just a day of wearing, I ’ m already noticing them molding to my feet and the heel slip vanishing, and turns out they were not too big at all, they were ABSOLUTELY perfect. So my recommendation with this particular pair of Durangos, go with your true to size. Even if they feel slightly loose at first, they will mold to your foot and the slip in heel will begin to go away as you wear them in. This is by far, THE MOST comfortable pair of cowboy boots I ’ ve ever owned. Ever. I absolutely love them. I do everything in these from yard work, going out and about, motorcycle riding, etc. these are awesome.

The dark brown leather is blemish free. The feeling of fit wearing thick wool socks is comfortable, no odd pressure points along the upper or side portion of the shoes. The Chaco footbed is nice and supportive, and the shaft is wide enough for easy on and off. Also love the finger loop at the back to help. I wear a size 8 or 8. 5 wide in women's and I bought the men's 7-- it fits perfectly and the width is great.

Usually wear a women ’s 8. 5 wide. These fit just about right. These are snug at the instep if you have “ taller ” feet; it took a few wears to start to feel comfortable, and takes a shoe horn every time to get them on. Surprisingly roomy at toe box( which is where my width is). Learher and construction seem good. Cork later at the sole makes these a bit more casual, but colorwise, plays well with all the neutrals. Good looking for a casual boot. Squeaky for first day, then not again. Haven ’ t tested waterproofing yet.
