I 'm on a quest to see all of our National Parks and these were my first purchase. So far we have hiked in Shenandoah( rocky, damp, sometimes slippery) and in Death Valley( HOT! Dry! gravelly, uneven terrain) and these boots have been perfect in both. We got wet in Shenandoah but my feet stayed dry. We got sun- baked in Death Valley and my feet stayed blister- free. Let me start off by saying I am a true 6. 5, never a 6 and very super rarely a 7. I used their size chart and measuring guide and found that I fell between the 6. 5/7 so I decided to size up and I 'm glad I did. I have just enough room around my toe in the box, and my heel has just enough space to move until they really get soft and cozy. I also have bunionettes, and sizing up with a regular width is definitely giving them some room. They are very comfortable on my feet. I purchased the black, and I am very pleased with how beautiful these boots are. Much prettier in person than the picture. I decided to buy a new pair of winter boots since my previous pair( from a different brand) kept giving me blisters. One of my professors used to be a Timberland exec and he always raved about the quality of the shoes, so I decided to try them out. I ordered 2 different styles of winter boots, each in 2 sizes. I did n't love the roll- top boots, so those promptly got returned. I ended up keeping the size 9 of the 6 '' waterproof-- the boots had a clean look and the leather is well sewn and finished, I 've worn them to work and they do n't look out of place with my button- up shirt and slacks. The boots feel a little heavy while wearing them, but honestly I prefer that since they feel more durable and rugged. I 've since worn the boots both with and without thick winter socks and had no problems. They were comfortable from Day 1 and have n't given me blisters. My biggest gripe is that the shoelaces are too short- even when I lace the boots as tightly as possible, I am left with maybe 3- 4 '' of lace to tie with. The 6 '' roll- top boots I returned had longer laces than these despite having a similar style, so this was a disappointment.

[ I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “ O ” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. The soles gripped every rock and slippery root. My Peakfreaks kept me upright while others were slipping and losing traction. Oh, and no blisters and no break- in necessary. The only recommendation is to order 1/2 size up. I ’ m a true 9 1/2 and my toes were a bit crammed. I bought a size 10 and it fit perfectly.

I have gotten rid of one pair, a suede pair, because after years of being in the elements they were not looking very professional anymore- but the shoe was still holding up minus the, understandably, worn down tread on the ball of the foot. The Emelie can be slipped on and off! Totally love this feature in a bootie. I ’ m still breaking them in but the foot shape that Sorel uses fits my “ pizza ” feet well( thinner mid foot and slightly wider toe splay). Even though it was the first time wearing them, I had no blisters or soreness. They easily slipped on and off. So happy I had them to deal with the cold of both cities.

I have had these boots for 10 years and they still look brand new! They are warm and comfortable, perfect for a snowy outing like tubing. I ’ ve noticed a lot of these reviews are negative, but it seems they are working in these boots. These are definitely more of a cute fashion boot than a work boot. I have walked miles in the deep snow and had many tubing adventures with these boots. Treat them well and they will treat you good also!

I struggled with whether to buy the 6 or 7. I 'm a true 6- 6. 5. I ended up with the 6 and after a little break in, it was definitely the right decision. Very comfortable and warm enough to wear for recess duty for Michigan winter. Bought the brown color and get tons of compliments. My new favorite.

I 've only been wearing these lightly so waited a bit before reviewing. They are great looking boots with super fast break in. Immediately comfortable. Very suitable for a moderately wide foot even in standard width. Maybe consider sizing down by a half if you run small.

I specifically bought these as I needed some gardening boots that would keep my feet warm as well as dry. At first look, I could n't see where the insulation was located, but after being out in the yard in the winter, I 've been amazed at how warm my feet have felt. Also, I have fairly wide feet so in getting my usual shoe size, I was worried I would n't be able to use my thicker socks, but there is just enough room for that if it's really cold out.

I 've bought Bogs for many years. These are great boots that keep my feet warm and dry through Buffalo winters. I do add insoles to the boots to make them more comfortable and supportive. I have a wide foot and they fit well.
