[ These are my favorite jeans to climb in, and for that matter my favorite `` normal '' pants to climb in if I do n't need a side pocket for a phone. They are also just killer pants to wear /bike around town. The fabric is really durable but has enough stretch to accommodate movement( climbing, bouldering in the gym, riding a bike, stretching, etc). The fit is a little bit tight; most people will probably find them to be a nice athletic fit( and fine with the stretch) but if you have thighs like pistons they might be too tight. This is my second pair, the first pair are still doing great except the pocket liners wore out. Hopefully that durability issue has been solved. While minor, it has been annoying.

[ Mainly use it to climb, but also go out to the bar or hang with some friends. Stretch is great, never had a problem mobility in terms of these pants and usually climb in them pretty often. Only downside is the 1st pair I had wore out around the crotch area but nothing a iron on patch ca n't fix.

[ Overall great product. The waist does give a bit after only a few uses, so i 'd get one size smaller. Nonetheless, very happy with this purchase. It's like climbing with nothing on, honestly

I wear long underwear or fleece under them and am toasty all day. ... Stretchy and comfortable ... The adjustable waist Velcro is a huge win in my book since most pant waists do n't fit me

These pants were perfect for a cold day with 40mph winds and 15 degree windchill hiking at 12, 000 feet in the alpine in January. They were totally windproof and I was actually warm when we were ascending, but perfect temperature when descending. They fit fairly narrow, so if you are planning on layering underneath I would recommend sizing up. The velcro at the hips helps customize sizing and I really love the higher rise on the waist. These are my go to pants for non- skiing winter adventures.

These pants are bright, comfortable and adjustable. They are great for skiing, snowshoeing, or touring. They are true to size but also have some wiggle room for a base layer underneath.

These pants carried me through Alaska;s fall and into the beginning of winter until it got into the single digits. They are my go- to pants for running, biking and hiking outside in the snow. They fit me perfectly. I am 5' 4 '' and 130 lbs and a size small fits great. The pockets are so convenient for anything. the reinforced ankle areas make me confident they will last a long time. I ordered 2 more pairs.

This is my second time purchasing these pants. I bought my original pair for a trip to Everest in 2021 and I wore them for weeks straight. They have great stretch, and I loved the adjustable waist and venting in particular as I tend to run hot. We had many days of cold rain on the way up and these pants kept me warm the whole time.( paired with lightweight base layer leggings). The inner leg protection for the boots is rugged and I agree with others that details such as the many zipper pockets made these pants an excellent value. These are my go- to winter hiking pants in cold- weather conditions. You will not be disappointed with these pants.

These pants have been a lifesaver this winter walking my dog in Midwest weather. They keep the wind out and my legs warmer than sweats or jeans. Highly recommend.

For context I am 5 ’ 3 ” 130 lbs with a small waist but a large bum. I ’ m a typical size SMALL in most all brands for both tops and bottoms. I originally purchased the size small and was dismayed at how large they were on me! But the length was perfect. I think ever since Mountain Hardwear was purchased by Columbia?, the sizing has become inconsistent. Luckily it seems that the quality of material is still there. I then purchased the XS. The fit seemed like it would be tight, but once I pulled it over my bum, fits comfortable and snug- however- the length is noticeably shorter- almost like “ petite ” sizing, which is disappointing. I will keep this pair though, as I mentioned, they are still good quality pants for winter!
