I love boonie hats, but the Sport Hat can keep out all angles of sunlight. It is feathery light on your head, but it is still rugged. This is my third one as others finally wore out or got damaged. This hat will stay in place in a strong wind if you cinch down the chin strap. I wear it kayaking on big expanses of water with no wind break. The L/XL hat fit me well. I hope that Sunday Afternoons keeps selling these hats forever.

Great hat- it has a pretty wide brim in the front in the back. This is my second hat of this type. I lost Persons one so I ordered this one. The brim is the right size and does not flip up in a strong breeze.

I 've been trying to use hats that were too small for far too long. They always gave me a headache. I finally did some research and ran across Sunday Afternoons which has some nice brimmed XL hats and I got this one. The fit is perfect and always felt secure even upwind. The Latitude Hat fits me perfectly and is lightweight, comfortable, and looks nice enough for a utilitarian hat. I love the neck strap that holds it on. My favorite thing about it though is that the wide brim not only protects me from the sun but also doesn ’ t blow back in the wind, so the sun protection is constant. I was forever having to hold onto the brims of other hats to keep them down. So irritating! I ’ m so glad I found the Latitude Hat and highly recommend it.

I bought this hat for a recent trip to Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands. It exceeded my expectations; it was simply outstanding. It is lightweight, breathable and provides significant coverage from the sun. Obviously, the equatorial sun can be brutal but this hat kept my face, neck and ears covered from the rays.
