This is a good one which goes to mid thigh on me( 5' 2 '') with the rounded swoop in the back that looks a bit stylish. The hood is adjustable so it stays put and the collar gives lots of coverage as do the longer sleeves which can cover my hands or adjust with velcro at the wrist and the zippers are waterproof. Great jacket, not thick and bulky but sturdy, ca n't wait to break it in. I 'm 5' 7 '' 130 lbs and ordered a small, was n't sure how it would fit since I would normally go for a medium in jackets, but saw this was loose fit and have heard Carhartt run large. The sleeves of the small were good but I was absolutely drowning in the rest of it so got an extra small, and it was a much better fit! When I tried it on with a sweatshirt underneath, the sleeves of the extra small were a touch tight when bending my elbows, but I think it will break in just fine. Great jacket, hope this can help folks with sizing. Did n't have any trouble with the zipper the way other people have described, it's a big metal double zipper and takes a little effort but nothing crazy.

This coat is warm! I 'm in northeastern ohio and this will be good for the colder days of winter and for skiing. I actually got too hot while wearing it in the grocery store. I like the color and the overall look. The sleeves are much too long for me( I can often wear petite), but at the same time I had to go to a size for it to fit my hips. So, this is all to say that I wish it was smaller on top and bigger on bottom rather than a straight fit.

[ This coat is extremely nice. It is heavy and even the arms seem insulated enough which you sometimes do n't see. It is a lot nicer than my previous coat from a different outdoor retailer. The sleeves are kind of small compared to my last jacket but I think it is due to the insulation and it is not uncomforable. In fact I feel more mobile in this jacket than my last. I am 5' 5 and it is pretty long but that is okay, I want to stay warm so long is what I want. It does n't seem to restrict movement. Two things about the shape are odd but not dealbreakers. The hood w/ the fur on is really large and flops over into my face even though I have a large head. I like that it will keep me warm that way but it is n't great visibilty. The in line pockets are weird! The angle is hard to get your hands into and I definintely would n't carry things in them. They need to be angled a little for more comfort and function. The good news is on top of those there are functional pockets with flaps that snap so you can still put your phone and keys safely in. I usually wear between a large and xl and so I got the xl and I am glad I did for layering purposes.

I wore this coat nearly every day over the past winter. I live in the Rockies near Aspen, and it kept me protected from the wind and very warm even on frequent, negative- temp days. The hood is large and fits easily over a beanie without my having to shrug my shoulders to keep it on. Bottom hem hits below my knees( I 'm 5' 5 ''), and zips up easily over my big booty and thighs! Quality zipper. Sleeves are a good length. Large pockets that can fit my hands, phone, whatever else; there's an inside chest pocket as well. The material is soft and matte black, no shine and no crinkly noise when I move. Due to the nice texture of the material, though, there is consistently dog hair clinging to it, lol. [ I live in the Ozarks and am traveling to Iceland in April. I love my outdoor life, hiking, and winter living when I 'm dressed accordingly. I wanted the warmest coat I could buy that was light weight and would not be bulky on planes, trains, and automobiles. This beauty is it. I am in LOVE with this cozy jacket. Feels like a down comfortable- warm and my new best friend. The fabric is also forgiving also- a gentle stretch and great color. The technical aspects- length, 700 loft, attached hood, zippable pockets, and wrist fit- batting a perfect game. Most importantly, the fit is perfect. I am 5' 4 '', 178 lbs and purchased a large because I wanted to layer over base layers. Iceland here I come.

[ I just retired from being a park ranger so did my research concerning warmth, the ability to layer& leg freedom to hike& snow shoe etc. It dodges that sleeping bag feel w/out giving up the warmth factor. The high collar& hood fit comfortably. It is an investment which will hopefully pay off for some years as it is not overly Fashioned as to look outdated. Gotten some compliments on it. I bought the Stretchdown Parka to replace my Stretchdown Hoodie, which was too big due to weight loss. I wasn ’ t sure I loved the look of the parka as much as the hoodie, but I love the following parka features: 1. The collar zips up high eliminating the need for a scarf. 2. Chest pocket- so handy for phones. Let ’s normalize chest pockets in women ’s jackets. 3. I love the matte fabric of Stretchdown. Looks better than shiny down. 4. The parka covers your butt for extra warmth. I live in MN so it helps.

Very nice warm jacket I have one for last 20 years. I was working on construction I use this jacket every day., It's very heavy material. You 're not gon na rip it off and it's nice and warm, so I will recommend it. It's no good to go to church but on construction site perfect, the only reason that I buy second jacket because is too small so I need size bigger otherwise that all the jacket is in the perfect condition there was no problems

This is the warmest jacket I have ever owned. I 've been wearing it while snowboarding on cold, stormy days over the past few weeks, and I only needed a T- shirt underneath. It's more waterproof than I expected, and the shell fabric feels thick and durable. Overall, it's a great purchase!

[ I bought this jacket with the upcoming Winter in mind replacing my previous ten years ’ old puffer. I can tell it ’s going to be warm enough for the E coast winter but what really blows my mi d is just how light it is. Whereas I ’ ve always had jackets that encumbered my movements and I ’ d simply got used to that fact, this jacket feels so incredibly light and form fitting that it ’s going to be a new experience for my winters. [ When I received the Arctic Crest jacket I was at first a little concerned that it would n't be very warm because it was so lightweight. After wearing the jacket for a few weeks during winter in northern New England my worries were laid to rest. This jacket fits just right and is incredibly warm. I feel like the new Omni Heat Artic even works when its cloudy or getting dark. The hood on the Artic Crest has what may be the best fit of any jacket I have ever owned. I also like that this jacket can pack into it's side pocket for easy minimal packing. Overall very impressed so far!!

This jacket is super high quality and is warm, waterproof and windproof. I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ”, 190lbs, athletic build. The Men ’s size medium fits perfect, with room for layers without being too small or too big. It is long below the waist so there is a double zipper to allow you to manuever into your car or a chair without pulling the jacket up to your waist. I removed the faux fur from my hood, it comes off easily with buttons. The fur just wasn ’ t my style. A few people complained about the double zipper, which is plastic( not metal), and is a YKK branded zipper. I ’ ve had no issues with the double zipper. Someone complained about the arm length. There are velcro cuffs so you can control how low you want the cuffs to go. No issues for me there. Bonus: there are two zippered hidden pockets, one on the inside of the main vertical zipper and one on the outside of the zipper. This outside pocket allows you to access items without unzipping the coat. Another bonus: there are two large pockets on the inside of the coat large enough to store ski googles. I happily store my winter scarf in there for when the temperature drops down and the wind picks up. Chest- level hand warmer pockets are comfortable and fantastic for walking or standing in the cold. I wore this coat for a trip in Seattle during the cold and rainy October season and it kept the wind and rain at bay, no wind or water got through. I ’ ve wearing this coat here in Orlando, FL for the cold winter months and have stayed quite warm and cozy! Keep in mind, this is the “ Nuuk Lite Insulated ” version so it ’s perfect for Seattle or Orlando. Fjallraven makes a warmer version called “ Nuuk Insulated ” which is probably more suited to arctic places like snowy parts of Canada or New England. I highly recommend!

The jacket is great! Reviews regarding double zipper, not true. You just need to learn how to zip it:)( or do you still wear shoes with Velcro?:) Zipper is great if you need to unzip jacket from the bottom. Very warm, length is great, hood is adjustable so you can actually see something when walk. Highly recommended! Great product, runs a big larger than other brands.

I purchased this jacket to replace a Skogso. I wanted something that was waterproof and with a bit more cover. This jacket is fantastic. I live in the PNW and we have damp `` cold '' weather.( rarely below freezing.) so this jacket is better suited for here the the standard Nuuk Parka.

Been studying this jacket since last year and finally pulled the trigger. Granted its not had a cold test but as soon as you put it on you can tell its absolutely solid. The zipper.... it's not that difficult guys so please ignore the other comments. Every detail is super premium. Medium correct fit for a 5, 7 giant of a man.

After getting through a NYC December/January where conditions ranged from 40F with heavy rain to nearly 10F with strong wind and snow, I can officially say I love this jacket. It ’s very stylish and the warm adjustable hood is a highlight. I prefer the flexibility of having a versatile “ lighter ” jacket that can get through three seasons but this jacket isn ’ t super light. When it got down into the 20s, I just layered with a light insulated vest and the jacket remained effective. I don ’ t understand some of the complaints in other reviews… two- way zippers are always a little more difficult to zip up but with the longer length of the jacket, it ’s well worth it. And no, my arms didn ’ t get cold in the jacket either.
