I just got this jacket, but by first impressions of use... WOW! This thing is exactly what I wanted. I have a shell for warmer days but had to bundle too many layers to stay warm on those cold days. I run very hot while skiing, I get to the bottom and need to strip or open all my layers to not overheat. This jacket gives you breathability while carrying the insulation that keeps you warm on the chair up. Literally the only thing that could be improved is the size of the armpit ventilation. Like I mentioned above I run hot so I would have enjoyed more airflow when I open the vents. But that tiny detail is the only thing I can find at fault and it's more of a personal preference. Bravo Mountain Hardwear!

4. 5 stars. Usually a S or XS in jackets and glad I went XS it's still big enough to layer under. I wish they made an XXS because when I cinch this up to my preferred crop length there is some extra fabric that bunches around my mid section( I 'm 5ft 8 about 120lbs with long arms and torso) so I agree this is not might not be the best for very petite gals unless you want a baggier fit. Dolomite is a nice buttery sand color. Love the stitching pattern that gives a quilted look. Overall I ca n't wait for cooler weather and to travel with this puffer.

Finally! I must have looked through hundreds of puffer jackets for my upcoming trip, and the Nellie was the perfect mix of not too athletic but still casual enough for everyday wear, and had pockets. I 'd never heard of Halfdays but decided to give it a try. Customer service was quick to respond and kind, and the order shipped next day. All in all got it within 4 days of ordering and the quality is great! Lightweight, but still providing warmth, and definitely packable. I very much so appreciate the models with different heights/weights and sizes provided and selected the same L as the model and it was perfect fit. On a side note, I tried the FP similar packable puffer jacket before finding this one and that one had a horribly cropped fit and was too thin, so I 'm happy it led me here.

It is very long, which provides great protection from elements such as wind, rain or ice but still allows you to move around comfortably in it. The material is very soft but durable, and seems as though it would be difficult to tear/puncture. I would also like to add that it does seem to run a little big, but it may fit better once you are layered up for colder elements, depending on what exactly you wear under it. The jacket is warm by itself but the added heat makes it my daily jacket now as I go skiing on subzero temperatures. It's warm enough on# 2 setting and so far the batteries have lasted for the 4 hours I was outside with still some life in them. On# 3 you will get heat for just over 2 hours. I wish there was a bit of heat in the arms but the back and front are the most important parts of your body you want to keep warm. Overall I am very satisfied.

I got this for an upcoming trip to Ireland. I am 5'1 '' and a size 25 waist but I got a size S so I can still wear sweaters underneath. It's so cute and exactly what I was looking for! So far I 've worn it during heavy rain while walking my dog and I stayed completely dry. I like the little flap on the hood so rain does n't get in your face as easily. I like the adjustable waist and hood. I would 've preferred buttons or some other way to secure the front flap as opposed to the velcro but it is n't that big of a deal to me. It feels well made and is warm without making me hot. It does look like a heavier coat because of the insolation but it's pretty light.

It ’s very warm and also gives you that psychological warmth boost of a fat, cozy puffer. The length is just right if you need a big outermost layer but don ’ t want a full parka length. [ I ’ m in surgical menopause& am constantly trying to strike the right balance between being too hot or too cold. This jacket is absolutely perfect. It ’s lightweight enough to e breathable but at the same time the Omni- tech heating feature kept me warm during a hike. Love that it ’s waterproof as well( walked in rain& I was completely dry). The hood is also great- I can wear a winter hat underneath it& it ’s not too loose. Plus the moonbeam color is my favorite color. 10/10 would recommend.
