I took them on a mountaineering adventure snowshoeing through knee to waist deep snow without getting even a drop wet. Incredible breathability, stretch, and comfort. I love the color too! They even ripped because I snagged them with a crampon and still didn ’ t let any water through!

One of the best mountaineering pants you can get- durable, breathable, and yet still warm at any altitude. These are my go- to pants for many PNW mountain treks( Mt Adams, Middle Sister, Mt. Hood, etc). The fit is fairly true- to- size, but I would have expected a bit more stretch in the waist. I 'm usually a 32 in most clothing, and M's feel a bit tight. There's plenty of stretch in the legs which makes for easily climbing, but the waist can definitely be a bit annoying. It's not enough to take away from how great these are, but something to consider if you 're on the border of sizes.

Just the right amount of lining for me in Chicago winter when it's cold out- keep in mind I generally run warm, but this helps me avoid wearing leggings/long underwear on the real cool days. I hear a lot of reviews saying they are roomy in the butt and thighs… a dream for big butted adventurers like me! I typically struggle with adventure gear only working for athletic builds, but these fit great! I have a big waist to hip difference and there is a cinch to help keep the waist tight. The rise is great, goes up to my belly button. I got a size large so they wouldn ’ t be tight in the butt or thighs and they drape beautifully, with plenty of room for base layers. If you ’ re a curvy gal these are for you!

Also, for traveling, they fit into a small packing cube. I think they will be excellent as a midlayer in Finland's winter temperatures. This is the most expensive pair of trousers I ’ ve ever purchased, but they ’ re worth every single penny. The only downside? I don ’ t think I ’ ll ever want to wear any other trousers again! They have a unique balance of rigidity and stretch, making them great for outdoor activities while still being stylish and comfortable for everyday wear—especially if you choose a versatile color. Regarding sizing, they ’ re said to be true to size, but in my experience, the waist runs slightly tight. If you ’ re buying from this brand for the first time, I ’ d recommend going one size up. This allows room for layering in harsh winters, while in summer, you can simply adjust with a belt. Overall, an incredible purchase!

Went hiking in the Lake District and discovered my abisko tights were too large. Fortunately, I found a Fjallraven vendor and found these tights, which turned out perfect as I need a bit more insulation. I love the feel of these. They kept me warm on some pretty brutal days. First let me say that I 'm not a person who wears tights- never have been- but these have changed my mind. I was on the fence about ordering for the longest time and I 'm so glad I finally did. They are thick enough that they feel more like pants to me and oh, so comfortable. The waistband is high, but not too high and the overall fit is just perfect. The leg pockets are deep and secure and the reflective piping at the ankles is a really nice touch. I had thought I might need to wear long underwear with them to be warm enough, but the wind proof panels are a life saver and they are plenty warm if you keep moving.(* An added bonus is that dog hair does not stick to them!) I use these pants when hiking and camping in cold/damp weather. The fleece liner feels so comfy against the legs, and the outer shell is durable. These pants are extremely flattering, but I am not a curvy girl... I 'm more straight- shaped. I could see why a curvy figure would have some issues with the waistband. I am in the outdoors all the time for work, and these are a go- to pair for me in the colder and shoulder months. I will be buying more.
