I purchased these pants in both the zip- off and non- zip- off models for an extended trip to southeast Asia. Three countries and 30 days later these pants, like the others I have purchased over the years from Columbia have been impressive. They wear like steel surviving daily wearing where I sat, hiked, climbed in and out of long boats, tuk- tuks, taxis, busses, through remote villages, along muddy tracks, and repeated washing in sinks and the occasional clothes washers. The hot humid climate created a thermal challenge but wearing shorts was not an option given all manner of biting insects that carry a variety of nasty diseases. These pants are super lightweight and fast drying. Most stains came out in the wash and those that did n't, probably would n't come out of any fabric.

I ’ m almost upset at how much I love these because they ’ re expensive but after having these, I don ’ t know how I could ever go back to cheap no name brand versions. They ’ re so lightweight and don ’ t feel cheap and “ swishy ” and are comfortable with a bit of stretch. I work on the beach and these are perfect for my needs.

They were great for hiking; convenient due to all the pockets, durable, comfortable, and they look great. I am 5 ft tall( short and stocky) but they cinch around my ankles and don ’ t drag. [ I have a small waist and wide hips, and have a really hard time finding pants that fit. These do! I bought them in every color. Very comfortable. The cuffs can be opened up( adjustable draw cord), so you can wear them as a a regular wide leg pant or gathered at the bottom. They 're very flattering in the wide leg config for me.

[ Just bought these and received both pair yesterday. I got a size large and was worried they wouldn ’ t fit, I am a size 12/14 in jeans and have trouble finding good hiking pants for curvier girls. These are AMAZING! Very high quality material! Wore them out today to try them out and my thighs didn ’ t chafe even with the bagginess. Can ’ t wait to take them hiking in the Adirondacks! Really stretchy, great fit( I 'm 6' 2, 214, and I got 38/34), great side pocket which even fits a phone, water repellency after two washes, extremely strain resistant( I got grease on my tan pants which washed right off), and rugged enough for hikes through brush. Could n't be happier- except for maybe a nice gray or mud brown color.

[ I received the Columbia Men's ROC Tech Chino Pants free from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. I got them in black and they are a very good quality pant. They are versatile in that they can be worn for business or casual. The fabric is lightweight and breathable and almost feels like they are water resistant. You do need to remove from the dryer and hang up quickly as they wrinkle easily. Very comfortable fit and feel like a pair of dressy khakis. Great for work as they are very comfortable but also great for a more formal event as they can also look dressy if paired with other garments. They are a win, win in appearance and you ca n't beat the fit as they are super soft and comfortable. You can move easily in them and they do n't feel stiff like jeans.

Nice lightweight feel for warm weather. Reviews said they run small in the waist which was true for me- one size up fit best. They are up newer to me and the inside of the knee zipper feels like it might irritate the skin over time if I ’ m moving a lot. Time will tell. 🤞🏼

[ I took these pants on a trip to Europe and wore them multiple days, always over a merino base layer. The lightweight stretch fabric and comfort stretch waistband made them extremely comfortable for long hours of walking and sightseeing. They stayed comfortable all day and never felt restrictive, even after repeated wear. They fit perfectly into the local European style, looking clean and modern without being overly technical. I never felt underdressed, whether walking around town, visiting museums, or going out to dinner. The pockets are practical, including a secure one ideal for travel, and everything stayed in place without adding bulk. They held up very well to multiple days of wear and continued to look sharp throughout the trip.
