The sleeves are roomy enough to slide on without fighting a watch band and fall just past my wrists. A comfortable elastic sits around your wrist and does a pretty good job of keeping the sleeves in place while not feeling tight. The fabric of this jacket is soft to the touch and extremely light, providing a comfortable wearing experience that does n't weigh you down. Even though the fabric feels delicate, it proved itself perfectly balanced-- able to keep me comfortable in the winter chill at the start of my workout and manage to not leave me overheated at the end. The jacket fit like a glove, yet I still felt like I had plenty of room to move without anything riding up or feeling too tight. There was enough room to be able to wear anything from long sleeve to just a sports bra without issue. The hem is asymmetrical, going from shorter in the front to a slightly longer back hem line. I loved this because it still allowed use of a running belt while keeping my lower back more comfortably covered. And did I mention the hood? Light, but providing full coverage so this jacket can demonstrate the full force of its water repellant ability. The hood was my favorite feature. I feel like hoods often do n't cover enough or stay on well enough as you move. This one had no issues with that. Oh, and the front pockets zip, so you do n't have to worry about anything flying out while you 're moving. There's a lot to love in this jacket, and it even includes a whistle tucked into the lapel that you can use when you 're running alone or need to call out to your running buddy. I do n't have any complaints, but if I had to change one thing, I would lengthen the sleeves and add thumb holes. I did feel like the elastic kept the sleeves down pretty well, but thumb holes are just that extra security I love when I run. Overall, this jacket fit great, looked excellent, felt comfortable, and kept me covered and at an ideal temperature from the start of my run to the end.

It was plenty warm enough for cool evenings and at high elevations. But the best feature of this jacket is the hood. The hood fits so well around your face and neck. This has become my favourite layer under my shell for cold winter hikes when its- 20 and the wind is blowing.

It has even performed perfectly on walks in temperatures well below freezing. I ’ m just over 5 ’ 6 ” and 150 lbs, athletic build and medium works well. It was slightly larger than what I thought it would be, as I am hoping to use it under a waterproof layer soon, but the small would likely have been too small. The material feels excellent. It ’s soft, stretches with you and is very breathable. I ’ m 6 ’ 5( 195cm) 240lbs( 108kg) I usually wear a XXL for most tops. When I was in store trying it on all that was available was an XL and it fit really well. The buttons have a satisfying mechanical click, and the zippered pocked is dual purpose both acting as a wallet storage/pop socket storage and the second purpose being ventilation. The pocket ’s equipped with a mesh which I think is what helps it be the shirt of the summer. I went ahead and still opted for a XXL and would have felt comfortable in an XL no problem. I ’ d like to see more colors, a long sleeve version and perhaps a long sleeve padded version for the winter. The problem I ’ d say is when you buy one color, you want to buy the other color, which I did. I ’ d recommend this shirt if you ’ re on the fence.

I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. It is also roomy enough for layering underneath, and I enjoy the big pocket for storage in the back. 10/10 would recommend.

I love how it packs into itself and even turns into a pillow( seriously genius for flights or road trips). This jacket definitely rivals my Patagonia nanopuffer in warmth and comfort. The color is a perfect shade of brown IMO. I 'm 5'10 '' and it hits right at my waist. I wound up going with a size small because it's rather boxy( I 'm usually a M/L). Great travel jacket that packs down into nothing. Even wore it out into the rain and I stayed remarkably dry. 4. 5 stars. Usually a S or XS in jackets and glad I went XS it's still big enough to layer under. I wish they made an XXS because when I cinch this up to my preferred crop length there is some extra fabric that bunches around my mid section( I 'm 5ft 8 about 120lbs with long arms and torso) so I agree this is not might not be the best for very petite gals unless you want a baggier fit. Dolomite is a nice buttery sand color. Love the stitching pattern that gives a quilted look. Overall I ca n't wait for cooler weather and to travel with this puffer.

Finally! I must have looked through hundreds of puffer jackets for my upcoming trip, and the Nellie was the perfect mix of not too athletic but still casual enough for everyday wear, and had pockets. This is a simple, very lightweight windbreaker, that packs into its pocket. It's somewhat water resistant, and dries quickly, but not waterproof. It's in my backpack for every hike, and my carryon whenever I travel. It weighs almost nothing and when it's in it's pocket turned carry pouch, it's about the size of a 3 x 5 card and about an 1 '' thick. It even fits in a purse, a fanny pack, and many hydration packs. I always have one on my boats, whether sailing or rowing/kayaking and have been glad to have it hold in my body heat on a chilly airplane, or as a paper thin layer for skiing, both downhill and crosscountry. Worn as a mid- layer it makes a fleece slip on effortlessly. One of the most versatile pieces I own. I have both hooded jacket, and a no longer available pullover.

Yes, this jacket is lightweight, but that ’s what I needed! I bought it to stuff into my bike bag. It can be stuffed into the smallest space, yet pops out wrinkle free. It ’s great as a windbreaker, and as layered clothing. It has no hand pockets, but there is a zippered pocket in the chest. I ’ m normally a large, but in this jacket the XL fits best.

It feels lighter weight and more breathable while maintaining its insulation properties. And neat fun fact it ’s also 100% recycled. I ’ m a man of many shapes and sizes and the jacket really hides the fact that I was a military man. The thumb holes are subtle enough to be missed but once found it makes the jacket feel like one long fingerless glove. If I had kids I pass this to them. For now, this is mine.

It's light and compact enough for my needs, and the stretch makes it comfortable to wear even with a pack over it, and when I 'm moving fast. I have the Black version and will use it for hiking in the Pacific Northwest, but also as an emergency shell while travelling for business.
