This hat is such a pretty upgrade from my previous beige unisex sun hat from an outdoor store. I do n't like having to wear hats but I 'm allergic to the sun now so I have no choice. I have a large head and typically will wear a baseball cap on the beach because hair needs to be back, this hat is amazing!! I wore it first on a windy day and just had to tighten the back and the chin strap and the hat stayed on my head. I love that it covers my ears and the back of my head and neck. It ’s soft and comfortable and the ponytail hole is perfect. This hat is it!! I ’ m 44 and try to keep the sun off my face while enjoying the beach.

I go on birdwatching trips, and on a bird- watching Safari, we were advised to be sure the hat we wore would n't obstruct the view of others in the vehicle, so I chose this hat. It was perfect for the trip, and it turned out to provide outstanding protection from the sun in general. As a bonus, it was a bug deterrent! I 've worn the hat so often that it is starting to wear out, so I 've just ordered another one.

I have three of these hats. I keep one in the car and one in my backpack so I always have it on hand. I am a redhead and these do the best job of protecting my neck, scalp, and face of any hat I have owned. I also love the folding brim so it can go in a pocket. It stays on well in windy conditions if you snap it under your chin. I wish it came in more colors. Fun ones. I would love orange or teal or fuchsia.

I love boonie hats, but the Sport Hat can keep out all angles of sunlight. It is feathery light on your head, but it is still rugged. This is my third one as others finally wore out or got damaged. This hat will stay in place in a strong wind if you cinch down the chin strap. I wear it kayaking on big expanses of water with no wind break. The L/XL hat fit me well. I hope that Sunday Afternoons keeps selling these hats forever.
