Unlike some puff jackets, they can be very heavy and bulky. The jacket is ideal for 35+ degree weather or a little under if you layer well underneath. Also, keep in mind my 35- degree weather may feel warmer to others who live in areas that get lots of snow and wind. I have n't had the chance to wash it, but the material seems like it will hold up well in a normal wash cycle. I think I may have needed to go to a smaller size, I had plenty of space in the jacket zipped.

[ I bought this jacket for a family roadtrip we did a couple weeks ago to Tennessee. We traveled from Florida- temps averaged in the 70 ’s, to the Smokies where the temps dropped to 22F some nights. I ’ m glad I had this jacket on hand. It ’s really well made, light and you can easily pack it inside it ’s front pocket. It turns into a cute little bag easy to store in a backpack for “ just in case ”. I ’ m 5 ’ 5 ” tall, 112lbs female and ordered a small size. At first I thought it ’s a little too big for my build. [ Despite it being spring, it is 40 degrees, rainy and cold today. This newly purchased jacket was the perfect solution! Great fit, insulated, hood that fits without sagging, quality material and construction. The only improvement I would suggest is snap closures vs Velcro, as Velcro tends to pick up debris when not attached to its Velcro mate. Other than that, love it!
