[ I own many hats. Out of all the hats I own, this Mission HydroActive Performance hat has quickly became my favorite. It has become my daily go- to hat. The reason? Extremely lightweight, extremely breathable, extremely comfortable. It's almost like wearing nothing, except it covers up my bad hair day. As a unstructured hat, It never gets wrinkled, unlike many other hats out there. I wear it to work, and just toss it in my backpack along with everything else. Even though it is very light, do n't underestimate the protection that it provides from from the sun, not the quality of the product. I have been searching for a white hat that would truly shade my face from the sun, stay on my head and that I could put my pony tail through. I wore it to play tennis and to go to the beach. I could only wear my hair down or in a very low pony with other hats( except baseball hats but they do n't fully protect me from sun damage). This hats has a strap if I need it on a windy day and I love that I can wear a low or high pony and pull it through the nicely designed openings in the back. I LOVE THIS HAT! I have it in all three colors and it is my favorite hat! the brim is large enough in front to cover my face from the sun and long enough in the back to cover my neck! Just right! I wore it while geoducking and everyone loved it! I like all three colors, but I wish the Opal one had a flowered lining like the black and blue ones do! I love this hat!!! It is my favorite Sunday Afternoons and I have many others. The only negative is it runs a little small. One Size. After stetching out the elastic band by pulling on it hard repeatedly, it fits comfortably. My head measures 22 1/4 '' around. Now I love it. Good sunblock and better looking than some of the others. I bought the cream with the black band. I would buy the blue and black too but I hate the multi print on the inside of the brim. If they came in plain black on the underside like the cream, I would buy both other colors. Why the multi print? Looks old- ladyish! Please offer all colors with a plain black under side of brim!!! An addendum to my review the black hat should have either solid black trim or back and white, like black and white stripes on the band with black solid under brim for shade protection. The red multi print is aweful!!!

My kids and I love our hats for a couple of reasons. First, they are so light that we do n't feel like we are even wearing a hat that gives great sun coverage, but we are! Second, my kids are able to get great sun coverage with comfort. In the past most of the hats they wore had brims in the back too. This would cause them to have to take the hats off when they sat in their cars seats, etc. Now they keep them on and they stay on because of the flat feature in the back of these hats! Great design! I never write reviews, but I really like this hat. I have a small head and it's hard to find a hat that fits. This one is adjustable. I 've been able to keep it on while hiking in the wind because of the chinstrap. It's water resistant. Plus it packs well. And most importantly, I like the colors- gray and pink.

I have washed this hat literally dozens of times which is why it does n't seem to have the SPF factor it once had. been getting sunburned on my head lately. So, after five years I am buying the same hat again! BTW, I bought two hats. One medium, one large. At 7 1/8 '' hat size the medium was too small. Would n't change a thing.

The last time I washed it and was drying it by way of the instructions but I got a little inpatient and decided to throw it in the dryer with air dry. I could not believe it but it still shrunk.
