I love these Sierra Mid Lace Waterproof Boots so much I purchased a second pair. They are so comfortable and great for walking/hiking long distances in any kind of weather. If you have skinny chicken legs like I do, an extra pair of socks maybe needed. The Boa system is sick!! It takes seconds to `` tie ``. Love these boots!!! [ I bought these for ice fishing. I needed a boot to be super warm& waterproof. Something that will still feel warm at 50mph and subzero air. These totally fit the bill. Very comfortable. The `` Boa system '' is really cool. Instead of leather or cotton laces, it's a wire system that tightens up to your comfort when you twist the button on the front. When you want `` out '' you pull the button out and the tongue loosens right up. Very convenient. I would recommend this boot for mostly active activities. I 'd to walk miles in them they are so comfortable, they also feel very sturdy and supportive which you 'd want in an ice fishing boot.

If you 're need is to do delicate footwork in steep or awkward terrain these are not the boots for you. But, if you 're spending a lot of time working outside in Wyoming in winter in snow, on ice, and in the very special kind of mud we have up here, they are stellar. I had a little break in period to soften up the ankles a little. They are warm, without heavy socks, even in sub- zero° F temps, comfy, 100% waterproof, and easy to clean. These are seriously burly well made boots.

Sizing winter boots has been quite challenging. I wear a 10. 5 medium width athletic shoe/ 44. 5 cycling shoe. I tried many brands and sizes including LL Bean, KEEN, Columbia, Muck, and a few more. Boots like this can feel stiff so I prefer thicker wool socks for added cushion and insulation. An 11. 5 was snug but not too tight( like the 11) and gave me enough wiggle room in the toe box. When I finally got outdoors with them, I found them warm and comfortable walking around for more than two hours through slush and snow on trails and streets. They are quick to slip on and lace up, quick to unlace and slip off. I am very satisfied with them.

I learned very quickly that the Sorel Caribou boot was the Best way to keep feet dry and relatively warm in the Great white Tundra of the North East states. This is my second pair of Womens Lightening Ascent Snowshoes. I purchased the first pair when they first came out and used them for many years. I replaced the bindings on the old snowshoes and still have them as a backup pair but they are 25 inch models and I wanted the shorter version; so, I purchased a new pair. The new snowshoes have an easier to use binding than the old ones and the heel lift seems to be places in a better location for smaller feet on the shorter snowshoe. Other than the improvements to the new model they are still the best snowshoes I have ever used. It is important to get the narrower women's model if you are a small person. I have tried the men's model and they were too wide and more difficult to travel in. I a 5' 2 '' tall with short legs. I have had minimal issues with snow balling up and secure grip on steep icy terrain. I am a big fan of these shoes.

With all the snow we have been getting in NY they have been the best purchase I have made in a long time. The snowshoes are really easy to slip on and tighten down and really a blast to go out and get some fun exercise in. I am 205 pound at 6' pack less but on this trip I did have a hydration pack with some supplies( maybe 10#) The first and only outing for me was a 5 mile out and back along a mountain side road. Along the way the binding/crampon and my boot worked along the pivot axle of the shoe causing my boot to make contact with the decking material. It was easy enough just to kick it back to center while walking. The binding system is easy to adjust and to enter/exit with gloves on. The Crampons worked well in a cold powdery snow, they did n't clog. As for float I ca n't give a true evaluation the snow was n't all that deep except for a few drifts, where they kept me aloft. The shoes seem sturdy and maneuverable as I was able to climb up and over several snow covered logs and walk about the saplings. The poles included with the kit have lever locks for the adjustments which IMO are nicer than twist locks. The poles may not withstand the rigors of my bush whacking hikes but performed well enough for walking along the road. The included storage bag has a section sewn in that is made of mesh allowing for drying, there are shoulder straps as well as a grab handle all nice features. The zippers could be of better quality, I broke one on the second closing. Overall a good value in todays snowshoe market place.

I 'm so happy with these sneaker boots! I bought them for the winter and ended up wearing them for work shoes. I had just gotten a free pair of work shoes and within weeks I decided to wear my sorels for work. They have also become my daily shoe. I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes because I have flat feet. Arches are my nemesis, however these support my arches perfectly. They may be a little narrow in the toe box for some. I normally wear an 8 1/2 and got them in the same size. They were a little snug in the fore foot, yet quickly loosened up. I got them in black and have gotten lots of compliments.

I love these winter sneaker booties. They are very warm and comfortable. I am a size 7 in pretty much all shoes and I bought these in a size 7. While they are snug, they are n't uncomfortably snug at all. Fit like a glove with normal socks. I would not be able to wear thick winter socks with them, but they are so warm I do n't know why I would ever want to. The only comment about style- I disliked the orange laces alot. So I purchased some beige ones on another site and they look much nicer.
