The only issue is with the material. The softness makes the shorts very comfortable, but the inner thigh rubs the material down a bit. If you run super long, like I do, over time that material may wear thin and tear a small hole. At least it did for me. Otherwise, if you do n't marathon train, then you 're probably fine. Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. I travel quit a bit and wanted a pair of shorts that I could work out in, trail run, swim in, etc. Also wanted something that would dry quickly. These are great for that. I generally wear a shorter inseam specifically or trail running, but this inseam was a more modest and `` everyday comfortable '' approach. Got the shorts with the AirShell Hoody and together they 're a great combo. Would recommend as a all purpose trail short.

[ I love the material! It is a little thin, but it's stretchy and surprisingly rip resistant. I have worn these rafting and hiking/scrambling over rocks. I 've scooted on my butt down some pretty steep declines and these shorts did n't have a scratch on them afterwards. I also love the deep pockets and the lovely yellow color!
