I have used them for golf, outdoor exercise and just outdoor chores around the house. The extra cargo pockets on the legs are great to put your phone in and they snap so your items are secure, but still easily accessible. The regular pockets all have zippers, so again, everything you put in them stays secure no matter what you are doing.

The fit is great overall, maybe a tiny bit large but nothing to complain about as the XL is intended to cover a range of foot sizes.
